Hi, I am having a problem on 4 events on this German language website:

MIRABILIA – Die Liste der Wunderdinge

I have set the tickets to 17 Adults and 8 Children but the Events page shows a negative number (see attachment)
When users go up to buy tickets they see that there are 6 Adult tickets available (Erwachsene) and 8 Children available
When they add them to the cart a wrong quantity of tickets is added (3 Adults instead of 2 or 2 Children instead of one) and then the message comes up that there are -11 tickets available. Can you help? I have tried turning off all plugins except for

    Hi Karin,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Can you also please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Karin,

Thanks for providing me with this information.  So just to clarify, this occurs on all ticketed events, correct?

It looks like you have a custom event page template.  Can you try switching to a default template and see if that resolves the issue?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/

Also, it appears that you have your Google Maps API listed in multiple places.  Can you remove the API from everywhere, except for one place.  For example, it may be in your theme and in our plugin.

You can enable debugging by following the instructions in the following article:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Let me know how all of that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
