    Welcome back,

Thank you for the updates and taking the time to revert back to previous versions. Forgive me for not catching this sooner, but I noticed you’re running version 5.5.9 of PHP. Our plugin requires you to be running at least version 5.6 in order for things to work properly.

Can you try updating your version of PHP to see if that has any effect on the behavior? I’m not able to reproduce this behavior and I’m not seeing any logged bugs resembling the issue, so this leads me to believe the conflict lies somewhere in your setup. As previously requested, try using a newer version of PHP and review the Testing for conflicts guide once more to make sure there aren’t any theme/plugin conflicts. I would even fire up a completely new installation of WordPress.

Thanks again and have a good evening 🙂

    Thank you for the update.

I’ve marked this thread as ‘Pending Fix‘ until we release a solution. As previously mentioned, keep an eye on the Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for update information.

Have a great upcoming weekend 🙂

    Joshua,

Try installing and activating WP Crontrol. I’d also try deleting the license keys from your site. Then, deactivate and delete both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO and reinstall them. Check out the WP Crontrol options to see if you can stop and/or remove the hung out import. Lastly, reinsert your license key and see if the stuck import message still appears.

The good news is, the next upcoming maintenance release should include a fix for the users experiencing this known issue. Please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information. Thanks again and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions or comments. Cheers!

    Hello,

Thank you for the update. I’ll go ahead and log this behavior as a “bug” for now, but I can’t guarantee the developers will see this as a conflict on our end or the pagebuilder included in your theme. As mentioned in our What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article, we are limited on support conflicts with themes other than those included with WordPress and plugins by other authors.

Before doing so, can you please further test to see if you can narrow down the exact source of conflict? More specifically, whether the issue occurs when both TEC and PRO are activated or if it only occurs when TEC is activated?

Once I hear back from you, I’ll mark this as ‘Pending Fix‘ and once the developers have time to review the report, we’ll have a better idea on how this will pan out. If it’s a conflict you’re unable to resolve yourself, please review our list of customizers for further assistance. Thank you and have a great upcoming weekend!

    Thank you for the update,

Can you confirm you’ve tested the issue while the default Twenty Seventeen theme and only The Events Calendar are activated? The screenshot you mentioned doesn’t appear to have come through. Can you try sending it again? Thanks again and have a good afternoon.

    Hello again 🙂

If you visit our demo site and click “Next Events“, you’ll notice the site behaves as you’ve described. If your site is behaving otherwise, please review our Testing for conflicts guide to rule out a potential theme and/or plugin conflict.

Let me know what you learn and have a good afternoon. Cheers!

    Hello and welcome 🙂

We have a bug logged resembling what you’ve described, so I’ve gone ahead and added this forum thread to the ticket which helps expedite the process of getting a fix included in an upcoming release. You could use CSS as a workaround in the mean time. Refer to this Using the ‘Inspect’ tool to make changes with CSS YouTube video for more information.

I don’t have a precise date when it will be available, but please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information. Thanks again and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions or comments. Cheers!

    Hi Jerome!

Welcome back. There are a few different options for you in this situation. You can purchase PRO so you get the Additional Fields feature. Any custom fields created using this feature will automatically display on the Community Events submit event form.

Another option would be to use Advanced Custom Fields, then pull in that data using a custom template as explained in our Themer’s Guide.

Unfortunately, I can’t be of much help other than informing you of your options. If things get beyond your level of expertise, please review our list of customizers. Thanks again and have a great rest of your day!

    Welcome back, David!

What function can I use to get the event category please?

Please review our Using tribe_get_events Knowledgebase article and let me know if it helps get you started in the right direction.

What function can I use to get the total number of tickets for an event please? Not those available – the total, including those sold!

I recommend checking out our Functions section for this type of information. Let me know if you have any troubles tracking down the info you need and I’ll do my best to assist.

How can I get a list of countries that events are held in – and a click on one of these takes me to a listing page for that country only?

The Using tribe_get_events Knowledgebase article is where you’ll need to refer to for this type of customization.

Please note we’re limited on providing custom code, but I’d be more than happy to help point you in the right direction. If things get beyond your level of expertise, please review our list of customizers for further assistance.

I’ll also provide any documentation I have relating to shortcodes below:

Thanks and have a wonderful rest of your day. Cheers!

    Hello and welcome back 🙂

Sorry to hear things aren’t behaving as expected. I reviewed our logged bug and feature reports and came across one I feel is relevant to your situation. I’ll add this forum thread to the report for the developers to review while making improvements.

I unfortunately don’t have a workaround in the mean time other than getting creative with shortcodes:

Please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information. Thanks again and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions or comments. Cheers!

    Hi Nichole,

Thank you for your patience while I further investigated your questions. Try adding the code found here to your theme’s functions.php file and let me know if you’re able to pull in the venue city. I haven’t tested the code myself, but please give it a shot and reply back with the results. You might need to remove the opening <?php tag from the code provided above.

Thanks again and have a wonderful rest of your day. Cheers!
