ParticipantHi @harrogatenews,
Thanks for doing all of your testing thus far and for sharing your progress. Having two captcha systems could indeed be problematic, so if you want to use the captchas provided by “Captcha by BestWebSoft”, I would recommend just using those captchas and not using the ones built into Community Events itself.
As for performance issues, these are a separate thing we can explore if you would like. To help me shed some light on this, can you provide the following details about your site?
1. How, specifically, are you hosting your webhost? Are you using WP Engine’s lowest-level hosting plan, for example? Are you using GoDaddy, and a certain “Business” package? Are you using BlueHost or HostGator…? Et cetera. Specify the web host you are hosting your site with, and what plan of hosting you are using through them. Share a link to their website if possible.
2. How many events are in your wp-admin? Are there thousands? Hundreds? Dozens of thousands? Just an estimate would be fine.
3. When did performance issues start happening? The page failing to load, etc.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Derek,
Thanks for reaching out—what you describe is a plugin conflict with Advanced Ads Pro. To help us keep this thread focused on @harrogatenews, can you please open a support thread with the Advanced Ads Pro folks as to why their plugin causes breakages with other plugins? If you have further questions from us about The Events Calendar or its add-ons like Community Events, please open a new thread on these forums.
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSure thing, Annie. I’m sorry to disappoint.
I will close up this thread for now—but please feel free to open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Fadi,
Thank you for this.
Are you saying that you cannot translate the words into French without modifying the code?
If so, this should not be the case and you should be able to use normal translation methods—even with a plugin like WPML—to show the day names and other calendar content in French.
Is there a specific reason why are you trying to do it with custom coding? We should solve this problem because it is NOT recommended to make translations directly via custom code.
Thank you,

ParticipantThanks for confirming, @Crystal!
One or two other customers have reported similar issues, and so we’ve been investigating issues with ticket quantities—there’s not a definite pattern emerging quite yet, but we’re determined to help figure out what’s going on here.
You posted your system information which saves us a whole step in the support process, so: thanks for doing that! Nothing in the information seems problematic or out-of-the-ordinary, so that’s good.
With that in mind, then, I’m curious if you can do specific set of testing steps that might be very helpful here:
1. Activate the “Cash on Delivery” payment gateway within WooCommerce — this is just temporary, so don’t worry if you don’t really want to use this gateway!
2. Go to an event with tickets and “buy” a ticket yourself. Choose to pay for it with the “Cash on Delivery” payment gateway.
3. View the WooCommerce order for that ticket purchase in your wp-admin, and manually mark it “Complete”.
4. Once you do all of this, check to see if the ticket quantity for this specific event is updated at all.
☝️ What do you find when you do these steps?
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSure thing, Roman.

ParticipantHey @Adage!
Thanks for reaching out. When it comes to category colors, there are some built-in abilities to modify the colors of events—but there’s also an unofficial free plugin called The Events Calendar: Category Colors, which you can download here → https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/
↑ This is an unofficial plugin made by our awesome community member, Andy Fragen.
Next, you ask the following:
Now I wonder : how may I also add the parent category of the event’s categories ?
↑ Can you clarify what you’re asking for here? I apologize for my misunderstanding! I just want to make sure I totally understand your question so I can best help out. 😀
Cheers,

ParticipantThanks for reaching out, Crystal! I’m sorry to hear this.
What payment gateways do you use for ticket sales? Do you use PayPal, for example? Or Stripe? Or both? Let me know all of the different payment gateways you use—there is a known set of bugs related to ticket quantities depending on the payment gateway, and that may be relevant here!

GeorgeJanuary 22, 2017 at 5:44 pm in reply to: You have entered a license key for The Events Calendar PRO but the key is out of #1222107George
ParticipantHey Jim!
George here, not Hunter. 🙂 In regards to your issues with the “out of installs” notice, I’m curious if you’ve checked out this Knowledgebase article on our site? ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/license-key-out-of-installs/
Let me know if you have — and, if not, if going through it helps at all.
We can indeed cancel one license and reissue a new one with the same expiration date and such. I will do that based on your feedback in response to this reply of mine.
Cheers!

ParticipantSure thing @larissa23,
I’ve just refunded your Event Tickets Plus license and you should see those funds back in your account in a few business days.
Open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Roman,
Thanks for reaching out!
Regardless of whether you have a license or not, pulling off the customizations you describe isn’t possible at this time just by adding a specific plugin to your site — the customizations describe are possible, but would unfortunately require code customizations to implement 🙁
You would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
Sorry to bear this news! Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.
Sincerely,
George -
