Thank you for testing that Gerry โ€“ย if you get your site in this state where all the non-Events Calendar plugins are deactivated, can you then try switching your theme to a default theme like “Twenty Twelve” or something, and see how the map view behaves in this state?

    Thank you!

    Hey Vincent,

Sorry about the frustration here! If you head to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys, do you see your website listed there? If so, disconnect it with the “Disconnect Now” link, then go back to your website and try entering the license key again.

This process might help โ€“ย if not, let us know! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hey Daniel,

This is not a known issue at this time โ€“ย we strive for good compatibility with Genesis, so I’m curious, can you clarify what versions of each of the following things are active on your site?

    1. Genesis
    2. The Events Calendar
    3. Events Calendar Pro

Next, can you clarify whether you’re using a child theme or anything? If so, then do these issues persist even if you temporarily deactivate this child theme so that just the parent theme is running?

    Thanks!

    Hey @Bud,

How are these menus generated? Are you just using the built-in Menu system in Appearance > Menus in your wp-admin?

Next: do you have any customizations in place here, any custom calendar template files for example?

Finally, if possible โ€“ any chance you can activate a default theme like Twenty Twelve or something, then re-build the menus and see how things behave?

    Thank you!

    Hey Susan,

Really sorry to hear about this problem!

    1. Can you specify exactly what you mean when you say “When I export to calendar”? What are you exporting from?

    2. What is the timezone setting in your WordPress site? You can find this by going to Settings > General in your wp-admin.

    3. Does changing this timezone setting affect any of this behavior?

    Thanks!

    Hey Chau,

Do you just mean applying a discount to customers who have purchased multiple tickets?

If so, there is not a function to do all this automatically, but if you’re using WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads you can certainly create “coupon codes” and manually share them with people. Coupon Codes can have rules like if “if the cart is more than $50”, for example, so it might work well for your site.

Let us know if that helps!

    Hey Aindreas,

Any input here in regards to Jason’s question? No worries if not! Just checking in โ€“ย I might close this ticket soon, and we also have a SupportDroid bot who auto-closes tickets, so I just wanted to update here to keep this thread “alive” ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers!

    Hey William,

Brian’s out on vacation for a bit so I’ll be handling the thread for now โ€“ย one thing to note is that http://theeventscalendar.com/events/feed is not a failing Events feed, we just don’t have events on our site here.

If you check our official demo site, by contrast, you’ll see the feed works well โ†’ http://wpshindig.com/events/feed/

Now, there are a few things I’m curious about here. Can you address each of the following points? Thanks in advance for doing so, to the best of your abilities:

    1. The events page itself at http://river-digital.com/~rethinkriverdigi/events/ is giving me a “404” not found error. Why is this, do you know? Was it working before, and then stopped working? If so, what was the last change you made on your site before this stopped working?

    2. What version of The Events Calendar is active on your site?
    3. What version of Events Calendar Pro is active on your site?
    4. What version of WordPress is your itself running?

    5. Finally, if possible, can you leave your site in the troubleshooting state you mentioned earlier, where a default theme like Twenty Twelve is active and the only active plugins are The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro?

    Thank you!

    Hey Joyce,

Sorry to bear this news, but Brian has stepped out a bit for a vacation this week. I’m so sorry, because unfortunately I don’t have the plugin code that he was trying to share with you for the steps to do above ๐Ÿ™

I will try to find the plugin, just wanted to let you know that we’re looking for it and that even though Brian is on vacation your thread is still important to us and being managed by us on the support team.

    Thank you,

    Sorry to disappoint Houman!

It’s a hard feature to include, however, because what if you have three events all happening at the same date and time? Then which one should be automatically pulled in?

I’m not saying we shouldn’t include this feature at all โ€“ย just sharing some of the details of the feature that are harder to implement than it may seem.

Definitely make your voice heard on tribe.uservoice.com as Brian posted above, and stay tuned to plugin updates! New features are listed in the changelog and you never know what features might make it into upcoming release ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hey @pragmaticweb,

    1. Could you be specific about the HTML you think is causing the issue? I may be able to track to it down myself.

The issue for me is that I don’t see problematic HTML ๐Ÿ™ I’m sorry to disappoint on that, but there isn’t recognizably-broken HTML on the pages I checked out.

    2. Do you have an example site that doesnโ€™t have the duplicate issue?

Yes, our demo site wpshindig.com does not produce duplicates when I try searching on it.

Thanks for your patience here @pragmaticweb!

    Hey Ann,

Sorry about your having two separate threads, I was unaware of that! We didn’t intend to make that harder on you, sorry about the confusion.

Merging threads is unfortunately a bit tricky and not something I’ll attempt to do for this thread, especially because what Josh last recommended in that other thread is what I would recommend here, too โ†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-events-wont-display-after-filter-bar-didnt-update/#dl_post-996903

This recommendation of contacting your web host is based on your note here:

Events page still has a temporarily unavailable error. Says it cannot serve that request.

I’m sorry that if your organization is so dependent on the calendar that these issues are happening โ€“ truly. Unfortunately, by the nature of the details you’ve shared with us, it sounds like there are other deeper problems on your site at the moment and it is not just our plugin failing to function.

I will close this thread and so we can just keep the conversation in that thread with Josh. Thank you for your patience with things thus far!

    Hey Jay,

The Events Calendar is indeed just events. You can have Event Categories, and link to those category archive pages, but having a “business directory” is sounding like something quite separate from this functionality.

I’m sorry to disappoint about that.

Ramon โ€“ I’m sorry to hear about your issues with the Events widget on your site. That is likely because of a code conflict from the theme or another plugin. If you’d like to troubleshoot this with us, definitely open up a new thread here on the forums.

For now, I will close up this particular thread since, unfortunately Jay, our plugins do not generate or specifically integrate with a “Business Directory” set of features.

    Cheers!

    Hey @vancouverfamily,

I see this thread is marked “resolved” โ€“ย did you happen to get things working here?

By and large, yes, the question you posed in your last reply and just about all other questions relating to the Banner advertisement itself would be best suited for your theme developer and/or the maker of that banner plugin directly.
