ParticipantThe other problem I’m having is there appears to be no way to filter the events to display in the slides such as all events today, tomorrow, in the future. Any ideas on how to accomplish it?
Hey Al,
I’m glad that events are pulled into the slider! However, any other things about or relating to the slider, like your question I highlighted above, are all things related to the Revolution Slider specifically. So I unfortunately do not know about your question here. You’d probably get better responses to any further questions related to the slider by posting to the Revolution Slider support team – I encourage you to do that!
For now, best of luck with your site 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Shannon, really sorry to hear about this!
In the past, when we entered an event, there was a box that we would check that would allow that specific event to be featured on our homepage. However I do not see this option any longer.
Whatever option that was, it isn’t generated by or part of The Events Calendar or any of our add-ons, so your theme or another plugin on your site is where that check box comes from. I’d recommend contacting your theme developer for starters to see if their theme is what provides that feature.
Unfortunately there’s not much light to shed on this issue – the widget tip I shared is a way to show a select number of events; if you would like to show a selection of events another way, you’d unfortunately have to delve into custom code. We offer no support for custom coding, but do have these two pieces of documentation that are thorough and might help more than you’d think:
• https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/If you can’t custom code the solution and/or don’t find the widget suggestion useful, then the only remaining actions are as follows:
• contact the theme developer and/or the plugin developer who added that “add to home page” checkbox
• hire a customizer to build this functionality for you; we have a list of customizers here if you’re interested in this route → http://m.tri.be/18k1Sorry to bear some of this disappointing news – let me know if you have any other questions, comments or concerns on this topic or anything else!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantUnfortunately getting the events in your second link to look like the layout in the first link would take custom coding 🙁 There’s not a simple options configuration you can make to achieve that at this time.
I’m sorry about that! If you’re interested in hiring a customizer to help you make things look like you want, we have a list of highly-reviewed customizers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1
Let me know if I can help with anything else!

ParticipantWeird! Glad it’s working though! 🙂
If issues arise again some time in the future, I’d recommend doing the steps I recommended here in my first reply; then, if those things don’t help, open up a new thread here AND a new support topic with your web hosting provider.
Best of luck with your site!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSorry about the trouble here @David – not sure why your custom template files aren’t working correctly…
For now I will close up this thread, but if these issues arise again open a new thread any time! Include a link back to this thread for context, if you think of it, and we’ll pick up where we left off.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks! We’ve responded to your application over email and so you should check there for further info – let us know if our response is there or not!

ParticipantThanks for this information @Jessica! There are no further obvious issues there, based on the info, so my original diagnosis about this being a theme conflict unfortunately still stands 🙁
I would recommend the steps I recommended up above in an earlier reply:
Thank you for testing that Jessica! That unfortunately means that your custom theme is the source of this conflict; can you contact their support team and report this issue with them? They might be able to offer some help here.
I’m sorry @Jessica!

ParticipantIt indeed appears the key is unlinked – try linking it, and consult the video in the top-right of that page for more setup help if you need it! 😀
Let me know how things go,

ParticipantHey @Steven, I’m really sorry about the frustration our lack of detail there has caused you – I have just issued a refund in full. Thank you for giving our software a try to begin with!
Sincerely,

ParticipantHey @floydvadems,
Sorry to hear this! It sounds like this is a theme or plugin conflict; I went to your website to investigate, but didn’t find the Countdown Widget there. Did you remove it from the page temporarily because it wasn’t working? If so, can you add it back somewhere on your site and share a link to where it is?
I’ll take a look at it in its broken state and see what I can learn; this will be immensely helpful.
Finally, for now, do you know what the last change on your site was before this issue appeared? E.g. was it working fine then you updated your theme and then it stopped working? Or updated a plugin or something and the same?
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Brian,
Can you share the URL where this is happening? I’ll take a look at this issue in person to see what I can learn.
Also, can you share your “System Information” with us? Here’s how to do so → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
An issue like this is usually caused by a theme or plugin conflict, or at least just some over-aggressive caching perhaps. If you have a any caching or minification plugins on your site, can you temporarily deactivate them and then see if this affects the issue at all?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Oceanfit,
Really sorry to hear about this – this issue is unfortunately almost always caused by a theme conflict. Would you be able to run through the troubleshooting steps here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
After each step, check on the tooltips and see how things look.
If issues keep persisting even after all of those steps, can you include your System Information in your reply as described here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Mathew,
There’s unfortunately no simple or straightforward way of doing this, assuming you mean the “Additional Fields” feature of Events Calendar Pro specifically – do you?
If you are using a different method and have some custom code in custom Events templates, can you paste this code (un-edited!) into Gists at http://gist.github.com and then share the links to these Gists? I’ll take a look at them and see if I can recommend something based on your current methods.
Thank you!
