GuestHi folks. I have a pre-purchase question. I came across your plugin while researching alternatives to the Events Manager plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/). In the past, the developers of Revolution Slider (http://revolution.themepunch.com/) made their product compatible with Events Manager so that events could be selected by category (see screenshot below), displayed in a slider with meta tags and filtered by today, tomorrow, future, etc. However, the current versions of the 2 products are now incompatible and they no longer work well together.

So I’m looking for a replacement events plugin. Is your TEC or TEC Pro plugin compatible with Revolution Slider? If so, I need to do the same things as described above – select events by category, display them in a slider filtered by today, tomorrow, future and display meta tags from the events on the slides (event title, location, dates, etc).
Any help is appreciated.

ParticipantHey Al,
We don’t have any special integration with Revolution Slider, but as long as that feature you showed in your screenshot just pulls all available post types (not just a select few post types from select few plugins), then our events should show up in that list. It’s something you can test for without buying any add-ons: just try installing the free version of The Events Calendar first, and then see if “Events” show up in that option in your screenshot.
You can then test them out and see if they’re compatible first-hand. I hope this information helps!
Cheers,

GuestHi George. Thanks for the response. I did not realize there was a free version of TEC. So I took your advice and tested TEC with Revolution Slider. Yes, the TEC event post-type does show up in the list of Rev Slider’s setup screen and yes the event feature image does get pulled into the slide. I haven’t tested pulling in any event info tags as I’m not sure how to do this. The other problem I’m having is there appears to be no way to filter the events to display in the slides such as all events today, tomorrow, in the future. Any ideas on how to accomplish it?

Hey Al,
I’m glad that events are pulled into the slider! However, any other things about or relating to the slider, like your question I highlighted above, are all things related to the Revolution Slider specifically. So I unfortunately do not know about your question here. You’d probably get better responses to any further questions related to the slider by posting to the Revolution Slider support team – I encourage you to do that!
For now, best of luck with your site 🙂
Cheers!
