MemberGood evening Matthias,
I’m glad to see that your project is taking shape.
As far as i see there are some “fix” pages like events. Is it possible to customize these?
Yes you can customize these to the urls of your choice. But there are some rules:
- The slug of the URLs for the main calendar page and the single event page have to be different.
- You cannot have an actual WordPress page share those slugs.
Do you have widgets to place in different spots of a page? (especially the search and filter bar)
Yes, with Pro we have several advanced widgets and shortcodes.
Take a look: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/That being said, the search and filter bars are not standalone widgets at this point. I can totally see how that could be a cool feature.
But, check this out:
- You can vote on the second one: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/6138297-filter-bar-as-a-widget
One thing i saw when trying out the different views is that i am able to enter a date for search depending on the view. If found that i can enter a “startdate” to show events starting from there and to enter a value “events in” a specific month. What i need most would be a “in between” since when you’re going on vacation you are looking for courses, trainings and tours within this time. Is this possible?
The date range is a really good idea. But it is currently not built-in.
You could probably add it through customization. Here is a nice article to see how the code could work: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/.
For the moment, however, it is a feature request that you can vote for: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/4157351-date-range-picker
Unfortunatly i cannot choose map or photo in your demo. I think we will go with “photo” view because it fits best.
That’s because there is a slight glitch (z-index) on wp-shinding.
Here are the missing views:
What search-types are there?
I am not sure what you mean by search types. Could you clarify ?
I have watched the videos for the community plugins. This is really great and all i need. Then i saw that we can add additional fields to events with the pro version. Yeah, that is really great too. Do these work with the community plugins as well and are displayed in the frontend?
Yes, they work with Community as well and are displayed in the front-end.
Since Ticketing is generating WooCommerce Products:
1) What kind of products are those? Is the free WC enough to run Ticketsplus?Yes, the free WooCommerce is enough to run Tickets Plus. The products created are simple virtual hidden products in WooCommerce.
2) Is it possible to use WC Extensions or will i get in trouble with your plugins?
– I think we need the mentioned Product Vendors
– and then there is something like “Name your Price” allowing Customers to enter a price they are willing to pay and the seller to accept it or decline.
– Maybe later on we need WC BookingsThe short answer is that we can’t guarantee a nice interaction with any third-party plugins.
A lot of them play very nicely with ours, but there might be some template overrides or customizations involved to make things work. What I can tell you, is that we try to respect all of WordPress and WooCommerce best practices.
I can also tell you that in theory since the Events Calendar and WooCommerce products are built to be extendable, there is almost always a way to integrate different plugins.
Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.
We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customizations and integrations.3) What happens if we show the “normal” Shop Page from WooCommerce, how are your Tickets are displayed then? This is because we want to give our “Organizers” the chance to sell more stuff like Merchandising, Rental of Equipment or even whatever they want.
By default our tickets are hidden from the shop. But you could totally change that if you preferred.
If displayed you could treat them like any other Simple Virtual product in WooCommerce and display it to your liking.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Victor,
Thank you for writing back with a request for a quote.
As much as we like to help, we unfortunately do not have the ressources available to do work for hire projects.
The good news is that we have a list of folks who might be able to help out with some development tasks on your site.
Hopefully that list will help you find someone to work on your site.
– if i have a class start on Thursday and end at Tuesday. But Sat & Sun there is no class. can i remove?
It depends how you set it up.
If you use our Pro Add-on, you can create a recurring event series for that class with exceptions for weekends.
But, if you create a single event that begins on Thursday and ends on Tuesday, the only way to hide weekends would be manually (via CSS).
– i want to combine the calendar cell
This can be accomplished via customization. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not a built-in feature.
– when my mouse roll over on the class, i do not want to have pop up. can i remove?
Yes, you can hide the rollover using CSS or customization.
The best solution is the one offered here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/disable-the-tooltips-in-calendar-view/#post-70913
– i realize need to purchase a event ticket, if i want to make it online purchase. can the event ticket link to paypal? our website is not ecommerce, hence we do not have https register.http://imgur.com/RWcQeoW
Yes, by using our Event Tickets Plugin plus plugin + WooCommerce (and their Paypal Standard Gateway).
Here is a link on how to set it up: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Hannu and welcome back!
I would love to answer your questions.
Will the created event be in one language when submitted by Community Events form? (the site default language) The site is using qTranslate language plugin. Is there a test version of plugin, which we can try before purchasing decision?
As stated previously, officially the only multi-language solution we support is WPML.
But even at that, WPML is currently not compatible with Community Events.
The good news is that we are working on compatibility of all of our add-ons with WPML. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!
In the meantime, there are some of our customers that had some relative success getting our plugins to work with Polylang (I am unsure if that applies to Community Events to be honest). But we have no report of this with Qtranslate.
We do not offer a test version, but we do have a 30 day refund policy (which is the second best thing).
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Thomas and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.
Is this possible without too much hacking? Would love to only show weekdays as we never have weekends.
The short answer is yes. But it depends on what view you are interested in. Could you expand on that ?
The easiest view to accomplish this in is the week view. Via Events -> Settings -> Display (Hide weekends on Week View).

MemberGood evening David,
I’m sorry this has not solved your issue yet.
But I’m glad the site is operational.
Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Steve,
I am sorry that the problem persists even with an upgraded version of PHP.
I am not sure how your webhost tackles memory, so you might want to discuss this part with them.
On my end, aside from my suggestion to downgrade, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Shelley,
I’m super stoked that you found a workaround!
Thank you for sticking through on this one and for sharing your awesome solution with everybody.
I have shared this with Dev and I will check to see if they have an explanation for it.

MemberGood evening Matthias,
Thank you for writing back and for your fantastic words.
I’d like to answer your last questions.
Why is their Avia Page Builder (so awesome this tool) not available for your pages like Events or Organizers?
This is is a great question for Kriesi. Basically, for this to work, Avia should be available for all custom post types.
There is a probably a way to add/register these extra post types in there, but I’m afraid they are the only one that can help you with that part.May i use Visual Composer? Will this plugin work with yours?
Yes, Visual Composer works well and it’s easy to add Events to the available post types for it.
perfect Feedback. Time to get the credit card out and buy the bundle. ?
Awesome! I hope you have tons of fun with it.
Let me know if there is anything else you need for this part of your journey at this point ?

MemberGood afternoon Sheldon,
Thank you for writing back.
1) So my process for the time being should be to add a new event per day, using the duplicate event plugin. I would then set the two available tickets for each event for the “Early Show” and “Late Show” and then manually set the price for the tickets, based on the day of the week?
For now, that looks like your best available process.
Once the new features are out, you should create recurring events based on days of the week. This will take care of the different pricings.
2) You had mentioned “very soon” for getting the new feature for multiple tickets added to recurring events. I know you can’t provide an exact date, but can you confirm if we’ll have this in the next month?
Based on what I know, next month is highly unlikely.
We are more looking at somewhere in late summer early fall.Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
