MemberGood evening Victor and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your question.before i purchase the plugin, i need to check can your calendar join the date to together?
example i have a event on 6 – 7 June 2016. i want block out the date in colour. The short answer to this question is yes. You can probably achieve that.
But only with some template customization, not out of the box.You can get a sense of what the display typically looks like here: http://wpshindig.com/events/
That being said, by combining:
- Template customization: You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- The ideas found in the following third-party plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/screenshots/
You can get pretty close to what you are looking for.
You could also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

GuestThank for your reply,
Please find the attached image.Example, I have a meeting on 28 – 29 Jan 2014. I want the date to be highlighted across the involved date.
I want my calendar to show something similar to the attached, can this be done?June 29, 2016 at 7:28 am #1133398Geoff B.
MemberHello Victor,
Thank you for writing back.
Yes, this can be done.
But to get it to look exactly like that, you will have to do some customizations (mostly for the overlapping day look).Take a look at the bottom screenshots here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/screenshots/
It already has the colours going on, but the layout is slightly different. The main difference is that an event that lasts several days will show as one box per day (as opposed to one big block that spans across the days).
Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.
We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization. With that in mind, as suggested before, you might want to take a look at our Themer’s guide. We purposely made our plugins customizable because of the wide variety of needs out there.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Victor,
Thank you for writing back with a request for a quote.
As much as we like to help, we unfortunately do not have the ressources available to do work for hire projects.
The good news is that we have a list of folks who might be able to help out with some development tasks on your site.
Hopefully that list will help you find someone to work on your site.
– if i have a class start on Thursday and end at Tuesday. But Sat & Sun there is no class. can i remove?
It depends how you set it up.
If you use our Pro Add-on, you can create a recurring event series for that class with exceptions for weekends.
But, if you create a single event that begins on Thursday and ends on Tuesday, the only way to hide weekends would be manually (via CSS).
– i want to combine the calendar cell
This can be accomplished via customization. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not a built-in feature.
– when my mouse roll over on the class, i do not want to have pop up. can i remove?
Yes, you can hide the rollover using CSS or customization.
The best solution is the one offered here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/disable-the-tooltips-in-calendar-view/#post-70913
– i realize need to purchase a event ticket, if i want to make it online purchase. can the event ticket link to paypal? our website is not ecommerce, hence we do not have https register.http://imgur.com/RWcQeoW
Yes, by using our Event Tickets Plugin plus plugin + WooCommerce (and their Paypal Standard Gateway).
Here is a link on how to set it up: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
