    Good evening Mark,

Thank you for the system information and the insight.

It look like there might be a conflict causing this issue.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1. Make a backup of your database
    2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

If that is not possible, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Ale,

    Awesome work!

You are right, the Event Tickets plus po / mo files for Italian are not up to date in the /lang/ folder of the latest version of the plugin. I will open a ticket to ensure an update on these files.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

In the meantime, I updated the files from the .pot file found in the /lang/ folder and it appears that there were many new strings.

I would recommend using the following files until the update: ET_Plus_Italian_updated

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Dushan,

    Thank you for writing back.
First off, I’d like to apologize as I believe I was focusing on the wrong aspect.

On your screenshot, it looked like nothing was displaying properly behind the Inspector window for some reason.
I did not realize you had a bunch of

tags being inserted in your code. My bad.

Typically this type of issue is caused by a conflict, most often with the WordPress theme.

There are a couple of things worth trying:

    1. Try a different setting for Events Template under Events -> Settings -> Display
    2. Try the following solution that deals with wpautop https://wordpress.org/support/topic/removing-wpautop-filter/

Finally, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Jonathan,

    Stellar work on this! Wow!

I’m super stoked that everything finally works on your end.
But I am as puzzled as you are as to what the cause can be.

Your guess is as good as mine on the exact cause of this, but I will relay the question to our Dev team to see if they come up with any possible explanation. If so, I will write back.

Otherwise, you are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!

    Good evening Sameer,

    Thank you for writing back.

I’m mostly glad that your hosting provider pitched in to help you clean up your event.

I have nothing to compare you current performance too, and things seem to load at a decent speed.
For a faster load time, I would recommend using: https://gtmetrix.com/

Some simple things such as enabling Gzip compression and optimizing the images on that page should make that page lightning fast.

    Good evening Jonathan,

Thank you for running those tests.
I am sorry this was not met with success.

I ran some tests on my end using the latest version of Divi. Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the issue.
At best, I can get “Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError” while using a server key instead of a browser key.

But I am not getting the missing key map error like you are. The only difference between our setups at this point is PHP7.
I will pursue these tests on such an install next week.

At this point, could you please try completely removing the key from Events -> Settings -> API and tell me what happens ?

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Ann,

    Thank you for your answers.

We just changed the address in our WordPress Settings when GoDaddy activated the SSL certificate.

In certain cases simply changing the address in the WordPress settings is sufficient.
But in my experience, there is also plenty of other data to update in the Database for things to go smoothly.

You can read all about it here: https://css-tricks.com/moving-to-https-on-wordpress/

Personally I tend to simply use a Database migration plugin, if you like that better.

    Venue links:
The code on https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/ looks like it changes the Venue Title Link on the single event template.

Actually, the meta module is called from the single event template. So changing it there would be the simplest way to do it.
In fact, this is what our Dev team suggested.

That being said, I am still awaiting an answer to the previous request to open the links in a new tab.

Unfortunately, this might be delayed until Tuesday due to the labor day holiday on Monday and the fact that we are closed on weekends.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Have a good week-end,

    Good evening Ken,

Thank you for writing back and for the screenshots.

Yes, I think it is better to deactivate that plugin. In fact, I have not seen it in usage in a very long time.
I am even wondering if this might not be the cause of the disappearance.

There are 2 other things worth checking out:

    1. If you have the admin bar displaying while you are in the front-end, can you navigate to that event and click on the “Edit Event” link ? If so, does that bring you to the event in the backend ?
    2. Can you tell me a bit more about your Post Expirator plugin ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Timothy and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

These are super interesting and great comments.
    We appreciate the feedback.

To make a long story short, we already have a series of shortcodes already: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

But as you pointed out, this does not include the full calendar…. yet.

That specific shortcode should be released very soon as it’s in the final stages of the QA process.
    So stay tuned!

In the meantime, although it’s not perfect, some customers have used our mini-calendar or list view shortcodes.

    Have a good week-end,

Good evening Rodrigo and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have been experiencing while running imports.
I would love to help you with this topic.

These are all very interesting points. So much so that I would like to share them with the team before I provide you with a proper answer.

Just to set expectations though, with the labor day holiday on Monday and the fact that we are closed on weekends, this will most likely go to next Tuesday.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Have a good week-end,

Good evening CHIAYEN and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry that recurring event tickets support is not yet a reality.

Not unlike you, we can’t wait to be able to release this exciting new feature.
To be fully transparent, we have met some unexpected challenges along the way, but we are still pushing through.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But we are shooting for this fall.

At this point however, it seems like you unfortunately do not qualify for a refund since you are not within 30 days of your purchase.
As a side note, for future reference, to obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.

You could also use that same form to dispute this, should you want to.

I wish I could be more helpful.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Alan,

    Thank you for writing back.

Is there a reason the standard plugin doesn’t show an update is available in wp?

That’s a great question. I am not so sure why that would be the case.
I know that WordPress.org has been doing some revamping behind the scenes lately.

Worst case scenario, you could simply uninstall and re-download or do a manual update.

To stay on the cautious side of things I always do a database backup before, but it should be hassle-free.

Do you know how to add w3tc js exception for the events calendar? I believe it is minify js manual mode and then I have to list the events calendar js pages?????

Actually you found the answer! Kudos on that, this is awesome.

Thank you for sharing for everybody’s benefit.

Is there anything else I can help you with on this topic ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
