Our events calendar is still not working — Geoff advised that I open a new thread to resolve this.

Please see the screen shot below — How can we fix the issues with bad filtering and everything being wrapped with paragraphs, javascript included (and invalidated by this behavior).

Why is javascript rendered within the page anyway? Can we push the scripts to footer where they belong?

Good evening Adrienne and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have been experiencing on your install. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

This will help me troubleshoot the cause of your issues.
As per your suggestion on how to handle Javascript, it has been noted and relayed.

However, please note that on 99.9% of installs, the way our plugin is structured does not have this type of impact.
So we just need to find out why that’s the case for you.

Furthermore, I just visited http://jwcdaily.com/events/community/add  + http://jwcdaily.com/events/ and they seem to render properly.
Would you mind expanding on what is not working for you at this point ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff.

I’m not sure if you’ve checked the screenshot I’ve sent you, so let me send it from another browser.
You can clearly see that complete set of scripts that are belonging to Community Events are broken and wrapped in

    tags.

Is there any way to fix this type of filtering or push the scripts outside the content area?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Dushan.

    Good evening Dushan,

    Thank you for writing back.
First off, I’d like to apologize as I believe I was focusing on the wrong aspect.

On your screenshot, it looked like nothing was displaying properly behind the Inspector window for some reason.
I did not realize you had a bunch of

tags being inserted in your code. My bad.

Typically this type of issue is caused by a conflict, most often with the WordPress theme.

There are a couple of things worth trying:

    1. Try a different setting for Events Template under Events -> Settings -> Display
    2. Try the following solution that deals with wpautop https://wordpress.org/support/topic/removing-wpautop-filter/

Finally, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
