Events display on regular, editable wordpress page

I see the The Events Calendar uses page “Events” to display the calendar or list of events.

But I need to display other information on my events page. How do get your events calendar on to a page I can edit? Place additional copy? Use other containers that I might want to arrange and specify widgets?

I love the way everything works. I’d just like to place the events where I want them – Like with a shortcode.
