    Good afternoon Frederic,

    Thank you for following up.

As a side note, we can continue this conversation in French if you prefer.

I believe this might be a conflict with the X theme specifically.

Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

Secondly, could you tell me what is your setting under Events -> Settings -> Display for “Events Template” ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Marc and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the hreflang tags missing from your install.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The first thing I am noticing is that you are not fully up to date on our plugins.
After a quick database backup, I would recommend updating to the latest version.

Secondly, we are about to release several enhancements for WPML integration, so stay tuned!

As for troubleshooting your specific issue, I have a couple of follow-up questions:

    1. Can you confirm if you used the following instructions: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
    2. Can you confirm if you are indeed using different domains to handle the different languages ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Robert and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the date picker being hidden on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic.

With that in mind, I went over to http://provesroro.com/aguasabiertas/ and I am able to see the date picker.
Furthermore, the date picker actually displays under the date field (which it typically does by default).

Could you tell me if you are still experiencing this issue ?

If so, could you tell me what type of device and what browser you are using ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Sally and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

If you haven’t already done so, you might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Which part of single-events.php handles the display of the venue (ie where it shows and the order in which the address, name and map appear?)

To answer your more specific question, the order is established in the following file: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta.php

If you change the sequence of how the different sections of the meta are called you will change the order in which they are displayed.

If you want to, you can even tweak things further by editing the content of each of these sections, e.g.:/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/venue.php

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Sabatha and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the ticket email not being sent out.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Typically, the ticket email is only sent once the WooCommerce order has been set to “Complete”.

Can you confirm if that is the case ? And if so, are you changing the order status manually or automatically ?

If that still does not work. A lot of our users had success with installing, configuring and testing a plugin such as: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Jens and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I understand where you are coming from.

Both of my colleagues are right. If you venture out of the Standard Event Tickets Plus workflow, there is a chance that some functionalities might break.

We have not run specific tests for that plugin or other similar plugins such as chained products or composite products.

But I would have to side with Brook on this. Normally the product stock aspect should work since it uses native WooCommerce stock handling.

As for the attendee aspect of things, that part I am less certain about.
The only way to find out would be to run some tests on your end.

That being said, provided the nature of WooCommerce plugins, it is likely that a template customization / snippets can solve most scenarios.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening William and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the events cleanup not kicking in.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, could you send me a screenshot of your settings under Events -> Settings -> General ?

Finally, could you send a screenshot of the Edit Event screen for one of the events that does not get cleaned up ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Joel,

Usually you should be able to insert that piece of code in your WordPress theme or child theme style.css file.

If for some reason you are not comfortable with this or that does not work, I would simply recommend using a plugin such as: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ to add the CSS code.

If that still does not work, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

    Good afternoon Steph,

    Thank you for writing back.

Notice bellow the footer, it displays content that isn’t even published. So something is wrong there.

You are right. For some reason I did not see the footer when I first looked at your calendar.

There are 2 things I would like to suggest to help with that:

    1. In Events -> Settings -> Display can you try a different setting for “Events Template”
    2. Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates you might have made.

I have no idea how to code or customise templates, so i don’t feel too comfortable messing with that.

Now that I understand your question a bit better, I don’t think you will need to do that.

I just bought the two plug ins that i’ll need besides the current features (facebook events & community manager). My mistake – i thought that the pro version included all the plug ins.

That’s a fair point. Thank you for bringing this to our attention as it helps us clarify how we present and name our plugins.

So currently, i need to have the area around the footer fixed, and include the events navigation into the menus

To include events navigation in the menu, you need to:

    1. Go to Appearance > Menu
    2. Add a custom link from the options located on the left of that page
    3. Ensure the custom link’s URL is http://www.rookieraceline.com/events/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Frederic,

    Thank you for chiming in.

I would recommend opening up a separate thread so that you can get the proper attention.

The reason for this is that the current thread is actually related to the translations forum which does not have the option for private replies.

Simply request that your thread gets assigned to me and we can take it from there 🙂

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Jens,

    Thank you for chiming in.

We are currently working on adding a functionality so that users could use tickets alongside recurring events.

You can already issue tickets in a recurring event series, however these tickets are the same for the whole series (as opposed to 1 instance of ticket for each event in the series).

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Jens and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

    That is a great question.
The plugin you have mentioned is actually not built by Modern Tribe, so we do not aim to replace it per se.

Therefore, it is unlikely our new shortcode ability will have all the same features.

However, I would not be surprised if the authors of that plugin made theirs compatible with our new abilities to expand on what they already offer.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Jae and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

I haven’t used the ticket portion but I am not understanding why the paid licenses are needed to sell tickets

Simply put, the paid licenses for our premium Event Tickets Plus plugin provides you with updates and support for 1 year.

Our free Event Tickets plugin does not integrate with e-commerce plugins such as WooCommerce.

what are the benefits for using event ticket plus vs Eventbrite tickets plugin.

It’s a matter of personal preference. Eventbrite tickets does not integrate with WooCommerce, but Event Tickets Plus does.

Typically EvenBrite users prefer prefer handling over all of the transactional aspect to Eventbrite while our Event Tickets Plus users prefer to keep the purchase process on their websites.

Also I need to be able to set different option for tickets/pricing and wanted to know which plugin (if any) will allow me to do that.

It depends on what you are looking to add as options, but I would say Event Tickets Plus is probably the plugin you need.

Could you expand on what options you had in mind ?

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
