Good evening Ted and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about that error message showing up as you are trying to import events.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Even better if you could do that both for the staging environment and your local install, so that I can compare.

Could you also send me the URLs of these feeds, so that I can run some tests on my own.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Buenas noches Antonio,

Good evening Norbert and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Secondly, it is possible that:

    1. The language files you are using might need updating.
    2. The Find out more string comes from your theme and not our plugin

You can always find the latest German files here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects

Typically, the translation is 100% complete in German, so you should not need to translate anything (unless you want customize some of these strings).

Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Mike,

    This is a great question.

As you can see on the Event Tickets Plus page: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/ , our plugin interfaces with the WordPress E-Commerce plugin of your choice.

The most popular is by far WooCommerce (and it’s free).

Once you have WooCommerce installed, you can choose which payment gateway you would like to use (Paypal, Stripe, Square, etc…). There are a lot of plugins available for the different possible payment gateways.

So basically, the money goes where your payment gateway takes it.
For example, it can go in your Paypal account.

There is a Commission for the purchase, transfer?

Our plugin does not charge any commission and WooCommerce does not charge anything either.

However, most payment gateways do. You will have to find the payment gateway that suits your needs best.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Bernhard,

    Thank you for writing back.

That is very unfortunate (to say the least).
Because of that I went ahead and took a closer look at your system information.

If that system information is still accurate, it appears that you have a valid license for Pro, but that the Events Calendar Pro is actually not activated on your website.

This is why you cannot use the shortcodes.

Head over to : https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/ and grab the latest version of the Events Calendar Pro.

With that in hand, you should be able to install the plugin (and activate it) using the Plugins > Add New interface.

I understand that you cannot give support for everything. But frankly, the calendar was working perfectly before the last update.
    Now, nothing is working really.

I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you.
It’s absolutely not fun when things worked a certain way and all of a sudden they now longer do.

One way to prevent this in the future would be to have a staging / test / local environment with a Clone of your website on. In fact, this is actually very good practice for any WordPress related update ( WordPress itself, plugins, themes ).

Even though everybody involved (including our team) does not want things to break or to stop working, the reality is that updates in the WordPress realm will sometimes have that effect.

With that in mind, there is still a lot I can help you with.
If you do not object, I would like to offer to help you get as far as possible.

The css workaround is not really a big help as this does not include the template basis of my regular pages with header slider, sidebar and so on.

I believe this can be worked around using the shortcodes (when you get the Events Calendar Pro activated).

Thats why i was asking for the template. What template do i have to add in the default-template.php in the view/src folder so that the calendar can render my standard page with the calendar included ?!

Normally, at least under my version of Divi (3.0.2.1), selecting the Default Page template for Events Template under Events -> Settings -> Display does the trick.

If that does not work under your install, would you mind trying with the vanilla version of Divi (not your child theme) ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Thank you for your understanding Jonathan,

Yes, this fix will no doubt make it to the next Maintenance Release, provided how important it is.

Hang in there in the meantime.

    Have a good week-end,

    Hello again Johan,

This is really awesome stuff, thank you for sharing.

However, the correct place to submit these would be here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects

With that in mind, please note that sometimes the language files packaged with the plugin (in the /lang/ folder) are not always 100% up to date. But the .pot files always are.

This is something we are working on and that will improve over time. I just thought that you should know about it.

The good news is that the latest files can always be found in Glotpress 🙂

Thank you once again for your very valuable feedback this week.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

      1. Ouvrir votre fichier de langue
      2. Sélectionner Catalog > Update from POT file
      3. Trouver le fichier POT dans le répertoire /lang/ du plug-in relié à ce fichier de langue

Vous me direz si cela vous permet de corriger la situation.

    Salutations,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Athena,

I am super stoked that you managed to fix your license issue.

As for the Filter Bar, it does not appear to be available on my download link, even though we have a license for it. I was under the impression that it expired the same time as our license of E.C. Pro, but that might not be the case.

Typically, this is a completely separate license than the one for the Events Calendar Pro.

I went ahead and looked at this specific account and could not find a trace of the purchase.
Perhaps it was originally purchased under a different email address ?

In any case, the choice is yours. You can:

    1. Continue using your current version and hope it does not “break anything”
    2. Purchase or renew a license for the Filter Bar Plugin

You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great weekend!

Good evening Shaun and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The easiest way to tackle this is with CSS (as you already know).

In order for the rule to kick-in, you might have to add the !important argument after it.

    For example:

    .events-archive #tribe-events-content-wrapper {max-width:100% !important;}

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Abe and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that the Events Calendar Pro replaces all of your page titles with Upcoming Events. Yikes! I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, could you tell me which version of the Avada theme you are using and if there were any customizations made to it ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Steven and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

First off, I would highly recommend not posting credentials on a public forum for security purposes. I went ahead and deleted these.

Secondly, as far as support goes, the scope of our premium support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.

We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization and theme specific issue.

With that in mind, I believe, that the issue might coming the fact that by that default, the Events Calendar tends to use the archive template as opposed to the page template.

This is probably why the left margin div gets ignored.

    You could:

    1. Try the different settings for Events Template under Events -> Settings -> Display and see if that helps
    2. Add the left margin Div to your archive template.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Bon après-midi Julye,

    Merci de nous écrire.

Normalement, pour que la mise à jour automatique soit disponible il vous suffit que votre licence soit bien saisie sous Evenements > Réglages > Licences.

    Sinon, vous pouvez simplement:

    1. Désactiver et effacer Pro
    2. Vous rendre à https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
    3. Télécharger la dernière version de Pro
    4. L’installer à l’aide du Menu Extensions > Ajouter

Vous me direz comment ça se passe.

    Bon week-end,
    Geoff B.

    Hi again Johan,

I may have spoken too fast.
Can you head over to Events -> Settings -> General and change the default currency value ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
