Good evening Lisa and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I must say that I am very interested in Maarten’s solution.
However, as far as I know, there is currently no “translation options” menu available in WPML.

Perhaps a screenshot would help clarify.

In the meantime, Event Tickets Plus is not officially supported with WPML.
You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/

However, I have found a partial workaround.
Just to set expectations, the workaround is not fully functional in the sense that it does not let you create true “translations” of tickets.

At best, you can get 2 separate tickets, one for each language.
This means that their stock levels will not be synced for now.

The good news is that we should release an update that provides compatibility this spring.

Here is the temporary imperfect workaround for now:

    1. After creating and saving your ticket, head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting Page
    2. Click on the “Set language information” button (under the cleanup section)

    The ticket should now appear.
You might have to repeat this for each ticket you create.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Neil and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I am sorry to hear that your experience with the imports and reporting these issues has not been great so far (to say the least). Yikes!

I would love to help you with this topic.

First off, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused so far.
Please know that we take every single forum ticket very seriously and we absolutely strive to always improve our products and services.

With that in mind, I would like to try to make things better for you and hopefully prevent you from unnecessary concussions from the head banging.

Would it be possible to share with me (in a private reply perhaps) what source you are using for your imports so that I can run some tests on my end and hopefully troubleshoot this for you ?

    Hang in there!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Vonda and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fatal error being generated on your site while using WPML with our plugins. I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that both should work together nicely, as long as you follow this guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/

Please make sure you are using “pretty” permalinks (%postname) and that you are not using the ?lang= translation method.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Debbie and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

but need more functionality – esp recurring events and filter categories

Our the Events Calendar Pro premium add-on will provide you with recurring events (now called event series).: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

You can already use Event categories in your WordPress menu if you want. You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-categories/

However, if you need a more hands-on filter, you will also need a copy of our Filter Bar add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/

Finally, we do have a nonprofit program. You can apply here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/do-you-offer-discounts-for-nonprofit-organizations/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Eoin and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

Normally, the translation is largely provided by the language files themselves.
However, I am noticing that the Irish language translation level is not great, as you can see here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects

Please feel free to contribute for the benefit of all Irish users out there!

That being said, if you are looking for a quick solution, the best approach would be to use WPML’s string translation.

    You’l need to:

    1. Follow the setup guide found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
    2. Make sure you scan our plugin for strings
    3. Search for the strings you want to translate using WPML’s string translation.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Bonsoir Audrey,

    2. Choisissez Catalog > Update from pot file
    3. Mettez à jour à l’aide du pot file
    4. Répétez pour the Events Calendar Pro

Cela vous donnera accès à toutes les chaînes de texte manquantes.

Merci de nous avoir signalé ceci!

    Salutations,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Simone and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have experienced while attempting to update.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You are right, when you are not seeing the update notice, deactivating the plugin usually works (as long as your license is still valid).

Worst case scenario, it is sometimes necessary to completely delete the plugin and reinstall it from scratch (which causes no loss of data by the way).

Is there anything else I can help you with ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Quentin and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

I would like to have the Month View below the List View. I read that it wasn’t possible to have two views on the same page but I just want to be sure.

Actually, until recently this was quite complicated to accomplish.
But now, this is totally feasible, thanks to our full calendar shortcodes: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

To be able to do that however, you will need to a copy of our the Events Calendar Pro premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon David and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

Once our plugin is installed, you will need to add a link in your WordPress menu.

Use the custom link option and the slug established under Events -> Settings -> General.

By default, it should look like yoursite.com/events.

Let me know if that helps.

Good afternoon Roger and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the number of events displayed being only 5.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are typically 2-3 places that control the number of events being displayed:

    1. Head over to Events -> Settings -> General and check the number of events being displayed
    2. Head over to Settings > Reading in WP-Admin and check the number of posts being displayed
    3. Finally, certain themes (maybe yours) allow you to control the number of Archive posts. If that is the case, you will be able to change that figure there.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Ilkka and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have faced while importing tickets and trying to connect them to events. I would love to help you with this topic.

If you have not already, I would highly recommend reading the following post: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/csv-files-options-and-examples/

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Finally, would it be possible to get a copy of your Events and Tickets CSV files so that I can run some tests ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
