MemberHi @Rion,
Oh man, that’s certainly odd! Let’s see what’s up.
First off, I see you have tried the following:
- Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
- Switched to a default theme? Yes
Out of curiosity, did you notice any difference when you deleted the event and re-imported it when all other plugins were deactivated and a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Sixteen) was active?
Also, if you could send me the Facebook URL for that event, I’d be happy to try importing it on my test site (which is running a default WordPress installation) to see if I get similar results.
One other question: does this happen for any event imported form Facebook into this client’s site? Or is it only happening with this one particular event?
Thanks so much!

MemberHi Adrie,
Good question! Yes, Event Calendar PRO’s additional field feature is one way to go about it, but does take a bit more custom development to accomplish than you may consider ideal. For example, you would need to move the fields below the existing cost field because additional fields are located elsewhere on the single event template by default.
Another way to go about it would be to use Advanced Custom Fields. That would allow you to create custom fields in the event post editor and you could add those to the event view templates where you would like them to display.
It’s also worth noting that our Event Tickets Plus add-on does change the event cost field to display a price range for events that have multiple tickets associated with it.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Raphael,
Good question! I’m afraid that Event Tickets Plus does not currently support subscriptions. It does allow people to purchase a ticket for an event, but that ticket is only good for a single scan at the door.
You could manually check people in for an event that lasts several days, but Event Tickets Plus itself only recognizes tickets for a single event with a set start and end date range.
I think deposits for tickets might be possible, but it wold have to come through WooCommerce instead of The Events Calendar. For example, this WooCommerce extension appears to allow people to make a partial payment on a purchase.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Kam, long time no see — welcome back!
I’m afraid that we have not made much progress on the email reminder front. It’s something we’re still really looking forward to consider, but we’ve admittedly been preoccupied with other exciting features and this one just has not made the roadmap yet.
We have a couple of open feature requests that you may want to add your vote to –doing so will allow you to receive alerts when we shares update on our progress.
Note that the MailChimp request includes alternative options for how to integrate MailChimp with The Events Calendar.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know!

MemberHello Agatha,
Thanks for getting in touch!
I wish I could say that Event Tickets Plus is the best solution for you here, but I think it would fall short on most of those requirements. The plugin is great for basic ticket sales that are integrated with events, and it includes great sales reports as well a the ability to scan and check people into events, but limiting purchases, having a waiting list, dynamic pricing and selling to specific addresses are things that the plugin is unable to do at the moment.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Alicia,
Great question! I’m afraid, however, that The Events Calendar is not fully integrated with WooCommerce Memberships, as far as I can tell. I recall that some folks have let us know they were able to get some aspects of the two plugins working together, but I do not believe it was to the degree that you are describing here that would allow a recurring membership to be scanned into the system.
Sorry for the bad news but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Jens,
Thanks for following up!
I think we’re actually making progress, whether or not it seems like it. 🙂
As a next step, will you please follow the steps outlined in our fixing 404 Errors guide? These steps help resolve most of the issues that cause “Page Not Found” notices like this and I’m hoping it will resolve this one as well.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberThanks for following up, Brittany!
Will you please try manually installing the plugin update? You can do that by following the steps outlined here in this guide:
Let me know if that clears the update notice and gets things back to normal.
Thanks!

MemberMy pleasure, Dan! Hopefully there’s a simple and reasonable reason the buttons aren’t there, but definitely reach out to us on WordPress.org and we’d be happy to look into that with you on our next support pass over there.
Cheers!

MemberHi Steve,
Thanks for following up! There is actually a note in your nonprofit acceptance email for how you can purchase our other plugins at a discount. 🙂

MemberHi Dan,
Are you using a default WordPress theme on your test site? It’s possible that the theme (or perhaps another installed plugin) is preventing them from displaying?
They should appear by default. Here is a screenshot from my test site where The Events Calendar is the only active plugin and the default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme is active.
If the buttons are not displaying for you and they continue to not display when you have tested for conflicts, then I would suggest opening a support thread because that sounds like an issue.
Thanks,
Geoff -
