Functionality query – Personal events calendar per user

Hi – is it possible to feature a ‘My Events Screen’ sort of thing – where a logged-in user could add/save events of interest or ones they’ve signed up for to a personal calendar that shows only to them when logged in?

Good question! I’m afraid that none of our plugins offer that specific functionality.

Event Tickets Plus allows folks to see tickets for the events they are registered to attend and Community Events allows those who have submitted events to the calendar to see a list of those events, bit neither of those is the same as what you’re describing.

I think this would make for an interesting feature request. Out of curiosity, how do you see this working? Specifically, I’m wondering:

• Would someone need to be logged into WordPress in order to save events and view their saved events?
• Would would the process be for someone to save an event? Is there a specific link or button somewhere on the calendar, or perhaps the event post itself?
• How would a visitor access their personal calendar once they are signed into WordPress? Is there a link to view a list of personal events in the calendar or would it be in the WordPress profile, or somewhere else altogether?
• Are there any other considerations to take into account?

I’d be happy to help write up a feature question based on your feedback, if you’d like. I can’t guarantee that we would build this, but putting a feature request together is the first step to making it happen to see if it’s something others are interested in and whether it’s something we could reasonably build.

Think this would be a great feature.
would add value and encourage readers of a calendar/website to register
tick box or button on an event
same view options as currently available for personal calander
but also personal events highlighted on the regular calendar views
