Hi there, LeAnne! Welcome back–that’s what we’re here for, so ask away. 🙂

It’s possible to drop the time below the date if you head over to Events > Settings > Display then change the “Date time separator” to a <br> tag (screenshot). Just a heads up though that this will apply across the rest of the calendar as well.

The alternative would be to override the widget template and use the following functions to output the variables you want in the right places:

Check out our Themer’s Guide for more info on how to create a template override–it’s a great place to start for customizations. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Kathryn! Thanks for getting in touch and for using the plugins–I hope you’re enjoying them so far. 🙂

Setting the calendar as the front page of your site is something that isn’t currently supported right out of the box. However, you might want to check out the Event Rocket plugin. It’s not supported by us here on the forum but is created and maintained by one of the developers here on our team. It includes the ability to add the full calendar to any page using a shortcode.

Will this work for you? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hello there, Cynthia! Welcome back to the forums and hope you’re doing well. 🙂

The keyword search covers the title and description fields for Events posts. You could include Category and Venue matches in your results, though it would take some complex custom development that is outside what we can support here in the forums. There is a tutorial on customizing the Tribe Bar, which you might find interesting–particularly the section on adding a filter.

Another idea is to check out our Filter Bar add-on. It covers all the filtering it sounds like you’re looking for, from categories and venues to organizers, time of day, keywords and a slew of other possible (and configurable) variables.

    Cheers!

Hi there, Sonya! Thanks for getting in touch and we hope you’re enjoying the WooTickets plugin so far. 🙂

Good question. Collecting additional information on attendees on each purchased ticket is something we have on our radar and is part of a large upcoming overhaul to our tickets framework. I don’t have a timeframe for when that’s coming, but it will likely be in the first half of this year. That’s a personal guess though. 🙂

In the meantime, I’m afraid it will take some pretty crafty custom development to get what you’re looking for. One idea might be to use Gravity Forms to create a custom field that you can display in the WooCommerce checkout template. If I’m not mistaken, I think WooCommerce provides you the ability to add a “Notes” field on the checkout page, that gives customers the ability to add a personal note–perhaps that would work for you?

Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Howdy Tony! Thanks for getting in touch.

Great questions. It’s certainly an interesting scenario and one that adds a little bit of complexity to how the calendar views and tickets work.

I’m guessing the only thing I can do is set the event date as the last event date. Any better ideas?

Yes, by default, the calendar’s Month View will display multi-day events on each day that the event spans. We have seen a request on our UserVoice page to change the display so multi-day events span days rather than repeat, so you could add your vote to help it be considered in a future release.

For the time being, however, you’re right: the best workaround for you might be to create a single day Event post and describe the series in the post description.

The other alternative is to use a different view, like List View, which will prevent multi-day events from looking like the repeat.

Is there a way to set this up so that when someone purchases the entire series package it will subtract 1 ticket from each of the individual events?

Unfortunately, there is no way to pool tickets together to share inventories at this time. We are in the midst of overhauling our ticketing framework and bundling tickets so they share a common inventory is something that will be part of it. I don’t have a specific timeframe I can provide for when this will be released, but I would say sometime in the first half of this year. That’s more personal speculation than a guarantee, though. 🙂

I’m sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but does this at least help answer your questions? Please let me know.

Hi Tom! Thanks for getting in touch–we’re stoked that you’re checking out the plugins and I hope they’re a fit for you. 🙂

Good question. We like the “one site = one license” rule, even when it comes to multisite installations. However, there’s nothing preventing you from using a single license and then applying the plugin to all sites on your network. It’s sorta like the honer system in that regards.

The difference between using a Personal License and, let’s say, a Business License is that the Personal License will only allow you to register one site for automatic updates. You’ll still be able to access support and be able to download plugin updates from here on the site. In no way will the functionality of the plugins be affected by the license you choose.

Does this help answer your question and clarify the licenses a bit? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hey there, Nick! Thanks for the kind words about the plugins–we love that you’re loving them so far. 🙂

Oh man, my apologies on the code from the previous thread. There was a little typo in there that was throwing the error. It should be cleared up now. Drop that in your copy of <i>month/single-event.php</i> and then you will be able to display the event in month/tooltip.php using [[=venue]]. Give that a shot and let me know if it helps.

Sometimes we need an Idiot’s Guide for ourselves too. 🙂

Hi there, arp3van1–thanks for following up. I mistook your response as a reply from Karen.

Typically, we ask that you start a new thread so we can help you directly. You’re totally welcome to follow the suggestions that are made here in this thread, but you’re best bet is to open a new thread if you need direct support.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion!

Thanks for following up and giving the permalinks a shot! Let me know what you find with a fresh database–I’m curious if the issue still comes up with a clean slate, a default theme and no other plugins installed.

Hello Karen! Thanks for following up.

You’ll have to forgive me–I must have misread your original post and took it to mean that tickets were not displayed on the front end of the site. It sounds like you are referring to the back end instead, so my apologies!

That’s certainly strange–and thanks for the screenshots. I followed the same steps using the same information provided in those images and wasn’t able to replicate the issue. That leads me to believe there may be a conflict at play with either your theme or possibly another plugin.

I see you noted having tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme. Did you happen to notice any difference in behavior when doing that? How about when all other plugins are disabled while using a  default theme like Twenty Fourteen?

I also see that you are using the Enfold theme. I do want to point out that I have seen back end conflicts with this theme and our plugins in the past–I highly suspect that is the case here as well. We are working with the theme author to build better a better integration, but there are things that have to happen on both sides for that to happen.

The good news is that it looks like tickets are at least saving on the front end. Let’s start with testing for theme and plugin conflicts before we get into deeper troubleshooting.

    Thanks!
    Geoff
