Add venue to tooltip.php

Hi, I’ve just bought the ‘Pro’ version of this excellent plug-in. Many thanks for it!

However, I’m having difficulty getting the tooltip to show the venue details. I’ve followed the details in a recent discussion but am getting a syntax error from line 26. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/add-venue-to-month-tooltip/

I’ve created both the single-post.php and tooltip.php files in my theme folder and pasted the code provided by Geoff.

This topic has come up quite a few times in the forums (for previous version of the plug-in and so no longer relevant). I wondered if you could post an ‘Idiots Guide’ to doing this?

Hey there, Nick! Thanks for the kind words about the plugins–we love that you’re loving them so far. 🙂

Oh man, my apologies on the code from the previous thread. There was a little typo in there that was throwing the error. It should be cleared up now. Drop that in your copy of <i>month/single-event.php</i> and then you will be able to display the event in month/tooltip.php using [[=venue]]. Give that a shot and let me know if it helps.

Sometimes we need an Idiot’s Guide for ourselves too. 🙂
