I have a question about how your licensing works. I am using multisite as a way to provision users on an application that I am building to assist in building documents. Each “blog” will run exactly the same theme, initial database, js, etc. Mostly multisite is a way to manage users with separate databases. In most cases there will be one user per “blog” but likely I will allow some future collaboration among (maybe 10 max) users within a “blog”. I was thinking of using your Community plugin to allow these users to set due dates, review meetings on the document under development etc. The application won’t use a great deal of the functionality in your product which BTW looks excellent. Could you advise me on how your licensing would apply to this case?

Thank you very much. Cool product.

Hi Tom! Thanks for getting in touch–we’re stoked that you’re checking out the plugins and I hope they’re a fit for you. 🙂

Good question. We like the “one site = one license” rule, even when it comes to multisite installations. However, there’s nothing preventing you from using a single license and then applying the plugin to all sites on your network. It’s sorta like the honer system in that regards.

The difference between using a Personal License and, let’s say, a Business License is that the Personal License will only allow you to register one site for automatic updates. You’ll still be able to access support and be able to download plugin updates from here on the site. In no way will the functionality of the plugins be affected by the license you choose.

Does this help answer your question and clarify the licenses a bit? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!
