Hi Juliian! I see your last reply was marked as the correct answer so I’ll go ahead and close this thread. Thanks again for reaching out and please feel free to let us know if any other questions pop up that we can help with. 🙂

Thanks Karl! While we typically shy away from suggesting direct modifications to core plugin files, I totally understand why you’d want to go that route for a top priority. Good call to work in a test environment to test that work in advance. 🙂

Will this work for you as well, Cindy?

If you haven’t done so already, please add your votes to this feature request so you can stay in the loop as we make progress on this.

    Cheers!

    Hi Saliina,

Thanks so much for setting this up — it helps a ton!

The strange thing that sticks out to me is that your cart page (/cart) is completely empty on the test site. Typically, this page will display something, even if the cart is empty (screenshot).

My honest hunch here is that there is a setting in WooCommerce that has gone awry and preventing products from properly adding to the cart. I’m not sure if it’s a setting that’s specific to Checkout or even a customized template, but that blank page seems to indicate something is happening on the WooCommerce side of things rather than WooCommerce Tickets.

The other thing you could try is to create a test non-Ticket product on the test site and see if that successfully adds to the cart. Still, I would suggest looking into any possible settings or customizations — even to the point of trying a fresh copy of WooCommerce on the test site — to try to pinpoint where that is coming from and even perhaps reaching out to WooCommerce to see if they can shed any light on this as well.

    Please do keep me posted!

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m glad you’re checking out The Events Calendar and WooCommerce Tickets. 🙂

It is a great combo for many reasons, but probably not for the scenario you’re going for. You’re absolutely right that being able to sell tickets for a specific day in a multi-day event would be a great feature. There is something on our feature request forum that looks very similar to what you’re looking for — a global stock of tickets for a particular event — it would be great if you added your vote there (or suggested a separate one, if appropriate) so we can have that on the radar.

It is an interesting idea: inverting the relationship between events and tickets. I wish I had something more concrete for you here, but hopefully this at least helps answer your question. 🙂

    Cheers!

You’re absolutely right — we are working on a concept that would allow the ability to create multiple tickets that share the same inventory. It’s still in the early stages, but adding your vote to the feature request will keep you in the loop for sure.

The same is true of the multilingual support. For now, there are not any multilingual plugins I’m aware of that are completely compatible with The Events Calendar. Some sites are completely unaffected by the conflicts, but it seems that some specific features (i.e. tickets and recurring events) make up the majority of the conflicts I’ve seen reported here in the forums. Definitely on our radar and definitely should be on yours as well. 🙂

Any other questions I can help with?

    Hey Julian,

Awesome questions. I would love to tell you that all of that is possible, but I’m afraid they aren’t. We have a number of known conflicts and issues with multilingual plugins that would make the tickets a tough sell for you. And, even if those were good, we’re working on a feature that would allow tickets to share a global stock but haven’t targeted a specific release date for it.

Sorry for the glum news, but does this help answer your questions? Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi p88dadmin, nice to see you again!

Sorry for the trouble here with events showing up in the widget. Do you happen to have a link where I can see the issue? Perhaps I can see something off the bat and will be able to suggest something from there.

    Also, I see you tried:

    Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
Switched to a default theme? Yes

Did you happen to notice any difference when doing that? Do events display in the widget when you’re running a default theme (Twenty Fifteen is a good one to test with) and deactivating all other plugins, except for The Events Calendar and Eventbrite Tickets?

    Cheers!

    Hi Shub,

Thanks for the additional info! This is super helpful.

Yes, there is jQuery in the calendar, so a conflict is certainly possible. If you have an Eventbrite event you’d like me to test in my development environment, I’d be happy to do that for you while yours is being set up. Just send me the event and I can do that. My environment is a simple default WordPress install with no other themes or plugins installed, so it will give us a nice blank canvas to work with. 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi Burl,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m stoked to hear you’re checking out the plugins!

While we don’t have trial versions of PRO and Community Events prior to purchase, we do offer a full refund on all purchases within 30 days. That should give you a fair amount of time to give everything a test drive — and, if things don’t work out, we’d be happy to process a refund for you.

Regarding the dropdowns, are you referring to the ones in the Community Events submission form? If so, I think that would take a bit of customization. Also, PRO does offer additional fields, of which a dropdown could be used.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions at all and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi wsbcadmin,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the trouble here with recurring events!

I just want to the site (looks nice by the way!) and tried clicking around on the event list widget. Each one seems to link to the correct event. For example, the first event (Worship on July 5) took me to the July 5 instance of the recurring event.

Were you able to solve this on your own? Or perhaps you can help point me where to look in case I’m simply overlooking it. 🙂

    Thanks!

That is an excellent question, Robert!

I’ve only seen one case where someone was able to share events between two sites on the same multisite network. It was actually a very impressive setup that allowed the sites to display the events from the main network site in the widgets of the other sites.

Unfortunately, that solution is no longer valid since the 3.10 update. You can see the original code for it here, in case that gives you a good starting point to work from to accomplish the type of sharing between sites you are looking for.

Sorry I don’t have more of a silver bullet solution for you here, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hey Shub,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble here with Eventbrite. Missing the tickets is definitely not a good thing, so let’s see if we can figure it out here together. 🙂

Do you have an event I can try importing and testing on my end? I tried importing an existing event from Eventbrite and the ticket form was working properly. I’d like to try working with the same event you are so I can see if there’s a difference.

In the meantime, it would also be super helpful if you could try following these troubleshooting steps as a first course of action just to remove any doubt of conflicts with the theme or any other installed plugin.

    Cheers!

    Hey Michael,

Thanks so much for reaching out! So sorry about the mix-up there with shortcodes and which ones are included — I can see how that would be confusing and I hope it didn’t cause too much frustration.

I really wish I had a good solution for you, but I’m afraid the Event Rocket plugin is the closest thing to being able to embed the full calendar on a page or post with a shortcode. We just recently introduced shortcodes for the first time and hope to expand on the variety available in future releases.

I think it would be possible to recreate the calendar with your own template, but it would take a fair amount of custom development to make it work. I wonder if one way to go about it would be to construct a new page template, include the calendar template files, then make sure the calendar styles and scripts are set to enqueue there as well. Our documentation is available here to help you get started.

    Cheers!

    Hi Kevin,

Good question — you’re absolutely free to modify or change the plugin as you see fit. The code is open source and free for you to use. At the same time, the software is licensed and you should follow the copyright standards that are outlined there.

Does this help? Please let me know.
