Hey Lara–nice to see you again. 🙂

I’ve done this one other time before and–though it turned out to be quite a beast–adding this to the functions.php file seemed to do the trick.

That changes the date format so that it follows M D – D, Y when a multi-day event is taking place.

    I hope this helps!

    Hey Tony,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the issue here!

I see what you mean–in fact, I just submitted a test event to your site, which you can delete.

That’s a strange error and I wasn’t able to get it to pop up myself on a test site that just runs The Events Calendar, The Events Calendar PRO, Community Events, and Filter Bar on a default WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme.

That makes me wonder if there is a conflict happening with your theme or perhaps another installed plugin. Will you please give the steps outlined in this troubleshooting guide a try and let me know if the issue continues to happen in default conditions for you? This will help us pinpoint where the conflict is, if one exists.

Let’s start there and see what we find.

    Thanks!

    Hi Diane,

Just chiming in here while Cliff is taking some much-deserved time off. 🙂

Sorry if this has already been covered as I try to fill in here, but are your Google Map settings for The Events Calendar already deactivated? You can do this under Events > Settings–scroll down to the Map Settings section, uncheck the option (screenshot) and save your settings.

That is supposed to dequeue the Google Map API scripts included in The Events Calendar–but do please let us know if that’s not the case for you here.

    Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

Just chiming in here while Cliff is taking some much-deserved time off. 🙂

Have you tried setting your calendar to use one of your theme’s templates instead of the default events template? You can do that under Events > Settings > Display (screenshot). If you set it to a template that is included in your theme, then that should allow you to control the widget settings for the calendar the same way as any other page that uses the same template.

Please give that a shot and let us know if it helps.

    Cheers!

Hey there, Keith! Just filling in while Cliff is taking some much-deserved time off. 🙂

Did you, by chance, complete the information on the Eventbrite settings screen (Events > Settings > Eventbrite)? Those are required for the import process to work. Here’s a tutorial with a video screencast to get you started if you haven’t seen it already.

Please give that try and let us know if it helps.

    Cheers!

Hi Guillaume and welcome to the forums! I hope you’ve been enjoying The Events Calendar PRO so far. 🙂

Just to clarify, The Events Calendar PRO does not include the Filter Bar features. Filter Bar is a separate plugin that adds a list of filters to your calendar and the Filters settings will be added as well.

Sorry for the confusion, but does this help explain what’s happening? Please do let me know.

    Cheers,

Hello Carlos, and thanks for reaching out!

Excellent question. Tickets cannot be embedded on any page or post but will automatically embed in events posts. In other words, tickets are only sold on events pages right out of the box.

I should also note that there is the option to display tickets in the WooCommerce product catalog, so they technically can be sold there as well. That option is deactivated by default.

Does this help clarify things a bit? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hello Phil,

Good question! I imagine that Avada has a customized set of calendar templates in the theme that override the ones that come stock in The Events Calendar plugin.

That said, it’s tough to imagine the features of the other add-ons interfering with those greatly. I would suggest giving them a try to make sure everything integrates smoothly (I expect it would). If something doesn’t seem right and cannot be fixed, then we do have a full refund policy for all products within 30 days of purchase and would be happy to take those back for you. That should give you plenty of time to test things out and see if things look as good as they should.

    Thanks!

    Hello Oriol,

Yes, you are indeed correct. I do want to let you know that PRO is not required to sell tickets. In other words, you can sell tickets with just The Events Calendar and WooCommerce Tickets alone.

You can totally get PRO too if you want the additional features it offers (recurring events, additional fields, extra calendar views), but you won’t need those specifically for tickets. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hey there and thanks for getting in touch!

Say the time of the event was changed, do I need to delete and re-import?

Not at all. In fact, iCal Importer will ask you if you want to import a previously imported event and, if so, that will import the new information.

    A) Is there a way to update more frequently than 30 minutes?

Sorry, I’m afraid not unless you do the import manually.

    B) Is there a documented way to achieve the color coding you can do in Google Calendar?

There is a free add-on for The Events Calendar that adds color coding, called Category Colors. I would suggest looking into that–though please do note that it will not import the actual colors of the categories from Google Calendar.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,

Hey there, @Corrado! Nice to see you again. 🙂

There’s an option to show only the first instance of a recurring event under Events > Settings (screenshot). Select that option, save your settings, then that should display the first event in the series and hide the others.

    Thanks!

    Hi @graham,

Thanks a ton for upgrading the license! I’m stoked to hear about that hope The Events Calendar will be great for all the projects you’re working on. 🙂

That’s a good question. I do want to note that changing the layout and functionality of the mini calendar will take a fair amount of customization that we’ll have to leave in your hands–though I’m happy to point you in the right direction as best I can.

We do have a Themer’s Guide that is a great place to start. It covers template overrides, which you will ultimately need to make this happen. The mini calendar is a set of templates and those templates need to be customized to get the layout you are looking for.

These are the template you will be looking for:

    • events-pro/src/views/pr0/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php (the master template for the widget that imports all the others
    • events-pro/src/views/pr0/widgets/mini-calendar/grid.php (the grid container for the calendar days)
    • events-pro/src/views/pr0/widgets/mini-calendar/list.php (the list of events that displays beneath the calendar when a day is selected)
    • events-pro/src/views/pr0/widgets/mini-calendar/single-day.php (the loop for each day in the calendar)

Those are the ones you will likely need to add to your theme directory in a new tribe-events/pro folder and, once you do, they will override the ones included in the plugin.

Will this help you get started? Please let me know if you have any specific questions about customizing the widget and I will do my best to answer as best I can!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

My pleasure, Lorne! The global ticket stock is a big one for sure and I’m sorry the plugin doesn’t support that just yet. Please do hit us up over email with your receipt and we’ll be happy to process that refund for you right away.

Thanks a ton for your support!
