We have the WooCommerce Tickets and Gravity Forms add-ons, and can create events and tickets, but cannot see how to collect the buyer’s name and email address so that we can send the tickets to them. We go through the process from the product to the WooCommerce shopping cart and checkout, but do not see where we should be collecting the buyer’s info. What are we missing? How do we get that info to ensure the buyer gets the tickets and we get a record of each person who buys a ticket?

Hi Lorne and welcome to the forums!

WooCommerce Tickets will use the information collected at checkout for the buyer’s name and email address, which is where the ticket will be sent once the transactions has been successfully completed in WooCommerce.

From there, you can get a detailed view of ticket sales in the event itself by clicking the “Attendees” link beneath the event title in the WP dashboard (screenshot).

Does this help clarify things a bit? Please do let me me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Thanks, Geoff.

I thought that that might be the case. We are working with a checkout page here that has been modified, since it was pulling in the info from Gravity Forms for other orders. Am trying to work around that now; will hopefully get it wrapped up soon. I’ll leave this open for now just in case I have a followup question.

    Thanks again.

Okay, I managed to get it working, but we need four different types of ticket with a global setting for number in stock, rather than a setting for each type. We also want to be able to scan the tickets as people arrive, and it doesn’t look like we can do that with this ticketing system. I will still use The Event Calendar for the events themselves; it looks great and has a nice admin interface. For the ticketing though I have gone with another solution. I will avail of your refund policy for that module, and am happy to keep the main system.

Thanks again for your help, Geoff!

My pleasure, Lorne! The global ticket stock is a big one for sure and I’m sorry the plugin doesn’t support that just yet. Please do hit us up over email with your receipt and we’ll be happy to process that refund for you right away.

Thanks a ton for your support!

    Geoff
