    Hi Laura,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, that is absolutely possible and how Event Tickets Plus is designed to work right out of the box. Each ticket that a user adds to their cart requires that they complete the registration fields you create for them on a ticket-by-ticket basis. In other words, the user has to complete the information for each ticket that is being purchased.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Abby,

Thanks for getting in touch! S0 glad to hear you’ve been using and enjoying The Events Calendar so far — thanks for the kind words. 🙂

You’re right that the plugin itself does not include social sharing options right out of the box. We had considered that in the past, but feel that there are already so many other great plugins that handle social sharing for all WordPress post types. In fact, we wrote up a post a while back on how to use some of the most popular ones with our plugins:

    Social Sharing Integrations

Any of those options should allow you to share events to the website owner’s Facebook account. Facebook also has its own registration tools built right in, so you could use it to collect event sign-ups if you prefer.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Crissy,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, that is definitely possible. In fact, we have a free extension that will help make that change for you and you can grab it here:

    Hi Diane,

    Thanks for following up!

I’m afraid the screenshot your tried sharing did not make it through. Would you be willing to try attaching it again?

In the meantime,  I re-visited your site and continue to see the horizontal lines between events in Month View. Here’s another screenshot of what I see and I am viewing the calendar on Chrome for Mac as well.

If you are not seeing the lines, do you see them when you view the calendar in other browsers? Or is it just Chrome?

    Thanks,
    Geoff

in reply to: Events template RSVP not a great fit with AVADA theme #1234125

    Thanks for the link, Jules!

It does appear that Avada has a good chunk of custom styles that are affecting the appearance of the RSVP box. You can use this snippet in either your style.css file or on the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS screen:

    table.tribe-events-tickets tr .tickets_name {
    width: 30% important;
    }

…however, I do want to note that this merely addresses the squashed appearance. I think there are additional changes that need to be made so that the RSVP box displays more like the way it was intended right out of the box. Avada may have some recommendations for that as well.

Can you also see in the top right box, ‘Cost’ shows ‘Free’ when in fact it will cost £10.00 to join the workshop and is payable on arrival.

We actually do have a free extension that will replace the ticket price with an Event Cost field in the event editor, which you can use to override that Free cost:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/display-the-event-cost-field-when-ticket-plugins-are-installed/

Hopefully that will do the trick and allow you to set a different price in that area than what the cost of the ticket is. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Jules,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, you are absolutely correct: Avada includes a number of customized templates that override the ones provided in our plugins by default.

In order to deactivate those, you will likely need to either remove them from the theme folder, or perhaps create a child theme that re-overrides the customized template with the original templates. I would strongly suggest reaching out to Avada support for the best method that will not interfere with how the theme is structured and to help prevent you from losing changes on future theme updates.

As for the RSVP layout, would you be willing to send me a link to an event on your site where I can see that? I’d be happy to look into it and suggest some CSS to help clean it up.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Lukas,

So sorry for the trouble here!

There is indeed a known issue about this where Event Aggregator is not properly importing the featured image from imported Facebook events.

I checked on the ticket and it is currently in progress and planned for an upcoming maintenance release. I will mark this thread Pending Fix and we will be sure to follow-up with you here when the issue has been resolved.

Sorry again for the trouble and thanks for your patience while we work on this!

    Hi @mpalmer,

Thanks for getting in touch! I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂

Oh gosh, sorry for the confusion, but I think you might have wanted to purchase Community Events instead of Events Calendar PRO. Community Events includes the feature to accept event submissions while I’m afraid that Events Calendar PRO does not.

Would you like me to exchange your Events Calendar PRO license for Community Events? Please let me know and I would be happy to do that for you.

    Cheers!

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

We do have a plugin called <u>C</u>ommunity Events that allows you to accept event submissions, but I’m afraid that it does not allow you to charge for those submissions.

One idea is to try using Community Events with Restrict Content Pro. That would allow you to charge a fee for people to access the event submission form.

Sorry our plugins do not handle this right out of the box, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ron,

Sorry for the confusion here, but let’s try to figure this out together.

Will you please take a screenshot of your Events > Settings > Licenses screen and send it to me here as a private reply? I would like to take a look to confirm your settings.

Also, just to confirm: you do want Events Calendar PRO, correct? Or did you want Event Aggregator instead? It looks like you purchased Events Calendar PRO, but I would be happy to exchange it for Event Aggregator instead if that is the product you meant to purchase instead.

    Thanks so much!

    Hey Jonathan,

One option you could consider is deactivating Tags from default WordPress posts. That would isolate them for use with Events. I found an example on Stack Overflow that might help.

Another option is to create a new taxonomy and use it only for Events. There’s a plugin that makes creating new taxonomies pretty simple and manage.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ronald,

Thanks for following up! I hope you had a great weekend.

Will you please try updating by manually updating the plugin instead? You can do that by following the steps outlined in this post.

    Thanks so much!
