GuestHi there, I refer to one of your Support Forum post dated 5 Dec 2016 with the same topic title.
I have a similar question to ask you for advice, not sure if we are asking the same thing, so let me try to put it in my own words.
Currently, I am already using the Events Calendar Free version to set up a calendar to display the various courses organised by the website owner and also display the various courses in columns on a page.To go a step further, I hope to share either the calendar or if better still the latter on the Facebook. I have been searching for your Facebook App which could allow me to link the website to the owner’s Facebook page, so that visitors could see our courses from the Facebook and better still, to sign up from there.
However, I just can’t seem to find such an app, and I infer from your reply to the early post that your company has not developed such a Facebook App yet, am I correct?
It will be such a pity if there is no such app yet because The Events Calendar is obviously a very popular WordPress plugin and the ability to integrate the WordPress site with the Facebook would be really helpful. There are already some other Facebook app of other WP calendar plugin, but I would like to use yours since I have already used it on my website.
Please advise me on this.
Thank you very much.February 14, 2017 at 7:42 am #1234527Geoff
MemberHi Abby,
Thanks for getting in touch! S0 glad to hear you’ve been using and enjoying The Events Calendar so far — thanks for the kind words. 🙂
You’re right that the plugin itself does not include social sharing options right out of the box. We had considered that in the past, but feel that there are already so many other great plugins that handle social sharing for all WordPress post types. In fact, we wrote up a post a while back on how to use some of the most popular ones with our plugins:
Any of those options should allow you to share events to the website owner’s Facebook account. Facebook also has its own registration tools built right in, so you could use it to collect event sign-ups if you prefer.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestHi Geoff,
I don’t know if I should choose my issue is resolved or still need assistance.
If this is the best I can get from the Events Calendar, then there is no point for me to press further.
Thank you for your reply.Warm regards

GuestBy the way, I have already come across this link https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-social-media-sharing-to-events/ before I decided to write to your forum yesterday.

MemberHi Abby,
Thanks for following up!
I see you did mark this thread resolved, so I’ll assume that my reply did help answer your question, but I’ll leave it open to give you a chance to ask any other questions about social sharing if you have them.
That post I shared and that you mentioned having already seen is indeed the best that the plugin can do as far as social sharing. The Events Calendar was not designed for social sharing because there are already a good number of plugins out there that include that feature and can be integrated with the calendar.
If you have any other questions about sharing calendar events, please let me know and I would be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
