    Hi @dimitrilongo,

    Sorry for the trouble here!

    My hunch isย that both plugins are calling the sameย select2 library from two different sources and those two calls are conflicts with one another. The Events Calendar uses select2 across most of the plugin so it’s definitely necessary, but I wonder if you could try dequeuing ACF’s version when events are present.

    The calendar’s copy of the script is located here:
    /the-events-calendar/vendor/select2/select2.min.js

    And it’s corresponding handle is ‘select2’.

    Sorry again for the conflict here, but I hope this at least helps get a resolution started so both plugins work smoothly together.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Oh wow, that’s good to know! I’ll definitely keep that in mind in case that comes up again–I certainly wouldn’t have thought of that right off the bat.

    Thanks for following up and confirming! Feel free to hit us with a new thread if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers!

    Hi Oliver,

    I see that my first reply was marked as the correct answer, but I’m assuming that was either a mistake or came from somewhere else. Please do let me know if you have had a chance to review those three events for me and whether they indicate that things are working as expected and I’d be happy to help from there.

    Thanks!

    Hello Emma,

    Awesome question. I’m afraid that Event Tickets Plus will not handle that sort of functionality right out of the box. However, I have heard that those using WooCommerce for taking orders have had some luck with discounts using the Dynamic Pricing extension. I haven’t personally tested it out, but we do offer a full refund within 30-days of purchase, so you could always return Event Tickets Plus if it doesn’t integrate with WooCommerce and Dynamic Pricing the way you would hope.

    Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers!

    Hi Xavier,

    Good question! If you follow the instructions in the Themer’s Guide and the tutorial, then those changes will be done via template overrides in your theme folder which means the changes will not be lost on plugin updates. In other words, the work you do will be stored in the theme folder itself, so the plugin updates will have no effect on that changes. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hey there, Karen! Nice to see you again. ๐Ÿ™‚

    You can add this snippet to your theme’sย style.css file or use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS instead:

    .tribe-events-list-event-description .tribe-events-read-more {
    display:none;
    }

    As far as customizing the “Free” label, you can follow the instructions in this tutorial, which provides a snippet that can be added to your theme’sย functions.php file to change any string of text.

    Will this help you get started? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Joel and welcome to the forums!

    So sorry for the trouble here with the categories being disabled on the Community Events submission form. That’s definitely odd and something I can say I haven’t seen before.

    I’ve been trying to replicate the issue on my test site (using the latest plugin versions as well) but the categories continue to work in those tests. The only difference I can imagine at the moment is that I’m using a default WordPress theme (Twenty Sixteen) and the theme you’re using might be the source of the conflict. Are you at all able to temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme and confirm that the issue exists there as well? If not, perhaps setting up a test site on the same server instead so we can test there?

    Let’s start there and see what we find.

    Thanks!

    Hi Miguel,

    Great question–the short answer is no, site visitors are currently unable to purchase multiple tickets and assign them to other people. That said, we are actually in the process of building this feature and plan to release it in an upcoming version…hopefully our 4.1 release.

    Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    in reply to: Sorry, key validation server is not available. #1071534

    Thanks Christopher!

    Shoot, I am not seeing anything that it totally out of the ordinary. I see that Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus are the only two Modern Tribe plugins that are installed and that they are up to date. I tried to replicate the same environment on my test site and was able to validate the license key there.

    I’ve been looking into this and talking it over with others on the team and it appears the most common cause of something like this is that the server the site is hosted on is blocked from being able to communicate with our plugin’s update/validation server. In that event, will you please open a ticket with your host to look into whether they see anything that would prevent the validation request from hitting our server?

    Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution here yet, but I’m hoping this next step of contacting the host will shed some more light on what’s happening. In the meantime, do know that the plugins will continue to function without the license key–the key simply activates automatic updates and you can always grab the latest updates by logging in here on this site.

    Thanks so much!
    Geoff
