MemberThanks Kate!
Oh, interesting — so, the list widget is similarly not styled when Twenty Fourteen is activated?
How is the list widget being added to the page? Did you add it to a sidebar via Appearance > Widgets, or are you using the Page Builder plugin to add it? The reason I ask is because I have seen instances where The Events Calendar does not integrate with page building plugins and I’m wondering if this could be the case.
Thanks!

MemberHi @ocst and sorry for this issue popping back up.
Like Nico did in the last thread, I’d like to try importing the event on my test site to see if I get the same issue. Will you please send me the Eventbrite link to the event that is not working so I can give it a shot?
Also, if you could send me a username and login in a private reply to view the event (it’s locked out) then that would be helpful as well.
Thanks!

MemberHi Karen and so sorry for the trouble here with Facebook Events!
A white screen often means that there is a conflict with another plugin or the theme itself. I would suggest following the steps outlined in this article. If that does not work, then I would be happy to walk through these troubleshooting steps with you to see if we can pinpoint the issue.
However, if you’d prefer to refund instead, I totally understand and would be happy to process that for you.
Let me know how you would like to proceed and we can take it from there!
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff

MemberHi Adam,
Thanks for following up and I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂
But then, if someone want to create an event (to sell tickets) that happens once a week, can they do this with “event tickets” (recurring events?) and if so, then surely the concept of a calendar comes into play and therefore there’s no need for “the events calendar”?
Just to be clear, there is no overlap in functionality between The Events Calendar and Event Tickets. The Events calendar allows you to create and manage events. Event Tickets adds RSVP functionality to any page, post (and yes, even event). Event Tickets Plus allows you to create tickets and sell them but integrating with ecommerce plugins, like WooCommerce.
In other words, both The Events Calendar and Event Tickets are integrated, but contain completely different sets of functionality. If you ever found yourself in a place where you do not need a calendar, you could certainly disable The Events Calendar and use Event Tickets as a standalone plugin on default pages and posts, just no calendar.
If you could clarify my vague question there about how events, recurring events, ticketed events, and recurring ticketed events relate to each other, that’d be great.
I also do want to point out the recurring events are not supported by tickets. It is something we plan to work on but, for now, all events in a recurring series share the same pool of tickets and purchasing a ticket in one event pulls from the same stock as the rest of the events in the series.
And then finally, to confirm… none of your plugins support payment processing? I’d need woo commerce or similar for that?
That’s correct. Event Tickets Plus integrates with WooCommerce (and a few other ecommerce plugins) so that a ticket is a product type in the WooCommerce that is then capable of being sold through the WooCommerce checkout process. Event Tickets allows you to create the ticket and then integrates with WooCommerce so that WooCommerce can handle the rest of the transaction from there.
I should get the “community manager bundle” by the sound of it, yeh?
That’s a good one, for sure. I do want to point out that the bundle also includes Community Events and Community Tickets, which are two plugins that allow guests to create and sell tickets for events on the calendar by submitting them via a front-end submission form. You might find that interesting, but also wanted to clarify that for you to let you know that those may not be necessary for your project.
I should also add to my previous question… with community events (and events tickets), can we take a % of ticket sales from people who create their own (ticketed) events?
Yes, that is correct. You are able to charge a fee for the tickets sold on your site with Community Tickets.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Kate,
Will you please do one more thing for me and head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the System Information at the bottom of the screen and paste it here as a private reply? This will show me all your calendar settings and give me an idea of what else is happening on the site.
My hunch is that the theme is overriding the calendar’s styles. I wonder, for example, if the default styling for the calendar is intact when switching to a default WordPress theme. You could try that as well and let me know if the styles show up in a default condition.
Thanks!

MemberI’m looking at your system information and it does not appear that you have The Events Calendar installed. You do have Events Calendar PRO, but you do need both in order for the calendar to function. Please install this plugin and see if it makes a difference:

MemberThanks so much, Diane!
It looks like some theme styles are putting the title our of place. Will you please add this to your theme’s style.css file or by using a plugin like Simple Custom CSS:
#tribe-mobile-container .type-tribe_events h4 { display: inline-block !important; }Let me know if that does the trick. 🙂
Thanks!

MemberI just moved this thread from Pre-Sales to Events Calendar PRO, so the private reply option should now be there.
If you are unable to access the System Information, then will you please do two things for me:
- Follow the steps outlined here. It will help determine if there is a plugin or theme conflict at play.
- Take a screenshot of your Plugins screen so I can see what’s installed.
Thanks!

MemberHi Sara,
I see your post here. Will you please send me a link to the thread in question? I’d be happy to check it out from there.
Thanks!

MemberSure! You can share screenshots here in the thread — I prefer using CloudUp:Â https://cloudup.com/
Also, will you please head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the System Information at the bottom of the screen and paste it here as a private reply? That will allow me to check your settings in case there is something awry.
Thanks!
