MemberHi Christina!
Hmm, I’m seeing the Previous and Next links on my test site when switching to a default WordPress theme and deactivating all other plugins (screenshot), so this is puzzling.
We did just release The Events Calendar 4.1.4, Events Calendar PRO 4.1.3 and Community Events 4.1.2 yesterday. Will you please try updating to the latest versions and seeing if that makes a difference?
If the links are still not there, then please head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the screen and paste it here as a private reply. That will allow me to check your settings with the latest installed information.
Thanks!

MemberHi Wayne,
That’s certainly not good — sorry for the trouble!
I’ve seen that exact same thing pop up a few times in the past and it’s usually due to a Javascript conflict with either the theme or another plugin. The calendar’s Month View tooltips are controlled completely by Javascript and, when a conflict like this pops up, it prints the content instead of containing it in the tooltip/pop-up as we’d expect.
To start off, will you please do two things for me?
Test for conflicts
It would be great if you could follow the steps in this guide as a first course of action. It will help us identify whether the issue is indeed a conflict with the theme or another plugin. I tested the tooltips on my own site using a default WordPress theme and they worked, so this test will help us see what the difference is between my site and yours so we can pinpoint the issue.
Questions to answer:
- Do the tooltips work when a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Sixteen) is activated and no other plugins (other than The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO) are active?
- At what point to the tooltips stop working–when you re-activate the theme or when you re-activate a specific plugin?
Share your system information
If the tooltips do not work even when you have switched to a default WordPress theme and have de-activated all other plugins, then it would be awesome if you could send your system information to me. This will help me check your settings. You can find this by heading to Events > Settings > Help, copying the system information at the bottom of the screen and pasting it here as a private reply.
Let’s start here and see what we find. 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHello Manuela,
So sorry for the trouble here with translating the word for Organizer!
It sounds like the PO files might be incomplete or missing a translation string in there for German. You can, however, try using a snippet to translate the word. Here’s an example of how to do that, using Venue as the example.
I’ve also had some luck using the Say What? plugin for on-the-fly translations right through the WordPress admin.
Will either of these two suggestions work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,

MemberHi Teme,
I think what you’re looking for might be something like:
<?php echo $event->post_description; ?>I haven’t tested this, but it looks like the code you had tried is attempting to pull a description from the current event’s slug.
Cheers,

MemberIt looks like your ticket is not set to start selling until tomorrow, 5/20 (screenshot). If you change that to the current day and time, then the ticket form will show up.
Cheers!

MemberMy pleasure and happy to help!
I haven’t seen a whole lot of complex integrations with Gravity Forms, to be honest. I actually think it would be pretty complicated to grab the submission data from a form and turn that into a new event post, but maybe that’s only because I haven’t dived into it at any great length.
We do have the Community Events add-on that will allow your guests to submit events to the calendar from the front-end of your site — with or without needing to log into WordPress. It basically pulls the event editor and makes it accessible on the website. You could use the custom fields that come with Events Calendar PRO to create extra fields on event submission and CSS for styling, but maybe that’s not enough customization for you at the moment? Thought I’d throw it out there just in case. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Richard, welcome back to the forums!
You should be able to change the background color using something like this in your CSS:
#tribe-events-content .tribe-events-calendar td:hover { background: green; /* or whatever color you'd like */ }Will this work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Leanne, thanks for following up!
Community Events is an extension to The Events Calendar so, in other words, it adds the ability to submit events while The Events Calendar continues to provide you calendar List view.
Does that help?
Cheers!

MemberHey Z,
I’m afraid that is the easiest way I can think of. Admittedly, Filter Bar was not designed with portability in mind, but I have seen it moved into other places with the customization I mentioned.
Sorry that’s probably not what you were looking for, but I hope it at least helps answer your question.
Thanks,
