MemberThat’s a good clarification. Event Tickets does not function with WPML at the moment — if anything does work, then that would be happy coincidence rather than an intentional integration like the ones we’re working on.
Cheers!

MemberHi Jim,
I see my last reply was marked as the correct answer. I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please do feel free to open a new one if any other questions pop up and we’d be more than happy to help. 🙂

MemberHey Jason,
So sorry for the trouble here!
Updating Events Calendar PRO to 4.2 will help clear that notice. Will you please follow the steps outlined in this post to get started? That will give you step-by-step instructions for downloading the newest version and installing it on your site.
Let me know if that helps!

MemberHey Jim,
Thanks for reaching out!
Are you using WooCommerce Tickets or Event Tickets Plus? We’re actually in the process of sunsetting WooCommerce Tickets and have made Event Tickets Plus licenses available in its place. Here’s a guide for making the move to Event Tickets Plus:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/
If you are not seeing the license in your client’s account here on this site, then please do let me know. I will move this thread out of Pre Sales so you can use a private reply if you need to — you’ll just need to log in with the client’s account.
Thanks!

MemberHi there!
I’m sorry, but we do not offer phone support. I’m happy to continue looking into this with you if you can help provide me with more information on the issue.
For example, the screenshots I provided in my last reply were examples of how Related Events seemed to be working correctly. Would you be willing to provide me links and/or screenshots where that is not the case? And if you do, it would be awesome to see a screenshot of the settings for those events as well.
Thanks so much!

MemberHowdy Tana!
Lovely site — absolutely nice work. 🙂
Yeah, Avada’s custom template moves the ticket form into a sidebar, which provides a lot less room for content ti fit inside the ticket form.
Adding this CSS to your child theme’s style.css file or using Simple Custom CSS will help clean it up a little bit (screenshot):
.tribe-events-tickets { table-layout: inherit; }If you need more space for your tickets in general, then it might be worth removing some of the customizations Avada has in place and moving the ticket form in the main content section — that would open things up quite a bit.
Cheers!

MemberHowdy Shawna,
Great question. I’ve been trying to think of how this might be possible with our plugins but I’m afraid that they may not be the best fit.
For example, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus are great for creating tickets for events and integrating ticket purchases into WooCommerce, but the options limiting ticket sales to specific types of people based on an industry isn’t an option right out of the box. You can create custom fields for folks to fill out in the registration process, but those only appear after the number of tickets has been selected and what you’re looking for would be the other way around.
That said, it may very well be possible to make that work the other way around with custom development and for that we have a list of freelancers we would be happy to recommend. However, I’m not sure the plugins are what you’re looking for as far as an out-of-the-box solution.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks so much!

MemberHey Dennis and thanks for reaching out!
That’s exactly correct: The Events Calendar is compatible with WPML as of Version 3.12 and we’re maintaining integration going with each release.
Events Calendar PRO is also compatible with WPML, with the exception of recurring events. There is a lot of trickiness in there to get the two plugins working together with that feature and something we are actively talking with the WPML team about.
The rest of our extensions are not yet compatible with WPML, though we are expanding the integration with each release. For example, we are currently working on an integration for both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus and hope to release some of those updates in 4.3, if all goes according to plan. It’s definitely something we want to work on and know would be an awesome feature.
Does this help answer your question and give you an idea of what we’re currently working on? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHey Carolin! Thanks for understanding with the screenshot. D’oh!
We actually have a list of freelancers who we would be happy to recommend for customizations. Their prices vary, but all do great work and I’m sure would be stoked to estimate that work for you.
Let me know if any other questions pop up and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

MemberHey Matt and thanks for getting in touch — hope you’re having a great day so far. 🙂
Yes, both plugins would need to be purchased. Community Events and Events Calendar PRO are two separate plugins, each with their own features. In other words, Events Calendar PRO does not include any of the features that are included in Community Events.

MemberHey Greg, thanks for getting in touch!
The Events Calendar does not integrate directly with any email applications (e.g. Mail Chimp). However, if you use Event Tickets with the calendar, then you can collect the names and emails of folks who are attending an event, export the list, and use it to create a mailing list in the application of your choice.

MemberHi Carolin,
Sorry, that was a bad screenshot I provided of an event I had been testing for something else. I had purchased two tickets in separate purchases, which is why it said two people were coming but only one person was displayed below — totally a bad representation!
The rest, however, is accurate and pictures are used instead of names. I do believe it would be possible to change that to a list of names instead, but it would take some custom development to achieve.
And, yes, the same functionality is the same with RSVP as it is in sold tickets. 🙂
Sorry again for the poor screenshot! I really should have caught that before sharing.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Brent,
I’m afraid that is correct — tickets and recurring events currently do not play well together.
The good news, however, is that we are working on that feature as we speak. It’s on our roadmap and could come as early as 4.3 if all things go according to plan.
In the meantime, I’d suggest adding your vote to the feature request — that will allow you to subscribe to notifications when progress is made on it.
