Showing only dates with specific ticket category available

I have an odd use case. We have a monthly networking event (does not need to be recurring, we can set them up separately). We try to have a limited number of people from certain categories (ie 2 lawyers, 2 finance people, 1 nonprofit, 2 event planners, etc). Ideally we’d like to have a multi step form that would allow people to enter in their contact info including choosing their industry from a dropdown. This choice would then allow them to only see the dates that are available for them to register (the dates we have openings). Would something like this be possible?

Great question. I’ve been trying to think of how this might be possible with our plugins but I’m afraid that they may not be the best fit.

For example, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus are great for creating tickets for events and integrating ticket purchases into WooCommerce, but the options limiting ticket sales to specific types of people based on an industry isn’t an option right out of the box. You can create custom fields for folks to fill out in the registration process, but those only appear after the number of tickets has been selected and what you’re looking for would be the other way around.

That said, it may very well be possible to make that work the other way around with custom development and for that we have a list of freelancers we would be happy to recommend. However, I’m not sure the plugins are what you’re looking for as far as an out-of-the-box solution.
