MemberHey Pau,
I am SO sorry I haven’t been able to pin this down yet. However, I do have good news: I was able to see the exact same issue on our demo site:
http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/
While I don’t yet know the why the layout is weird in that same exact spot, I have opened a ticket for our developers to look into this further. I’ll mark this thread Pending Fix for now and keep you posted as I learn more.
Thanks so much for hanging in here with us! I know this is a pain and we definitely want to clean it up.

MemberHey Thomas!
Absolutely. Anyone can view the main calendar itself. You can also set Community Events so that it only allows logged in members to submit events to the calendar and edit those submissions. Here’s a screenshot of that setting.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHello Agnes,
Great question! While there is no setting to specify categories on the back end, you could use CSS to hide irrelevant categories.
For example, let’s say there is a category called Rock. You can add this to your theme’s style.css file or by using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:
.tribe-events-filter-group .tribe-events-category-rock { display: none; }Will that work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Marileen,
Great questions!
1. I have a course that stretches over a few days, can I use your plugin for such an event?
2. In your demo I couldn’t find any events I needed t pay for to book so couldn’t test how they work. Can I do paid events using your system? The answer to both of these is yes. Events can certainly stretch over multiple days and you can sell tickets for events using our Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus plugins together with The Events Calendar.
3. If I have 1 event happening on the same day but at different venues via video conferencing, can I sell various types of tickets on 1 event?
Yes, you definitely can. Event Tickets Plus (mentioned above) allows you to create any number of tickets and varieties of tickets as you would like for an event. Here is more information on the process of creating tickets to give you a better idea of what to expect.
4. I need to keep track of all my bookings. Does the back-end offer a database of all my event participants?
Absolutely! Once someone has registered for an event, you can access a report of attendees.
5. If I have limited seats for an event, can I load it that way?
Yes. If you leave the number of tickets blank, then that will be counted as an unlimited inventory of tickets.
6. If a client books a certain event they get discount on a specific other event, Or if they book all of the events available they get a bundle discount, can I do that in your system?
Not directly in our plugins, but if you’re using WooCommerce as your e-commerce plugin, then it offers some extensions that allow you to create coupons and bulk discounting for purchases. I haven’t tested those personally, but they do look promising.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know!

MemberHello Alessandro,
Great questions!
Events themselves cannot be managed as Products in WooCommerce. However, we do offer Event Tickets (free) and Event Tickets Plus, which, when used together, integrates with WooCommerce and enables you to create tickets for events and sell them as Products in WooCommerce. In fact, the tickets themselves can be added to the WooCommerce cart from the event page, which then takes the visitor through WooCommerce to complete the transaction.
Will this work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHello @klokwerk,
Yes, that flow is definitely possible when using both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus together. Event Tickets Plus allows you to set custom registration fields for attendees to complete and will ask for those fields to be completed for each ticket that is being purchased in the transaction.
Once the information has been collected, it is available in a report in WordPress that can be exported or emailed.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

GeoffJuly 25, 2016 at 10:45 am in reply to: Upgrading, would it fix issues with visual composser? #1143717Geoff
MemberHi Alejandra,
Thanks for reaching out and I hope you had a great weekend!
Good question. I have seen instances where The Events Calendar and Visual Composer work nicely together. I have also seen other situations where the two seem incompatible.
That said, there is nothing in Events Calendar PRO that would add more compatibility with Visual Composer. The same issues you see with The Events Calendar will also be present in Events Calendar PRO. We have been in touch with several developers who make Visual Composer and similar plugins. There is certainly work we can do on our end to help make things smoother, but it we’ve found that it will also take updates and changes to those plugins as well.
Sorry for the bas news, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Derek,
Thanks for reaching out and we’d be happy to help you out! But first, will you please log into your account? We use the Pre-Sales forum for questions about purchasing our plugins those who have already purchased the plugin can log in and gain access to our technical support forums.
If you have not purchased a product license, no worries! We’d still be happy to help you out in the free WordPress.org forum, which we check weekly.
In the meantime, please note that there is no need to create an events page with The Events Calendar–the plugin sets one up for you. 🙂 Please delete the page you created and make sure the calendar’s slug is something different than any other page on the site.
Once the the calendar is up and running, you can take that URL and add it as a custom link in Appearance > Menus.
Cheers!

MemberHi Craig,
Thanks for following up on this! We did indeed plan to have that feature roll out in Version 4.2 but hit considerable snags making it happen. That said, the feature is currently being developed and–from what is documented in on our system–will be available our next feature release, Version 4.3.
If you haven’t already, I would suggest adding your vote to the feature request. That will give you the option to subscribe to receive an update when the feature is built and has been shipped.
Thanks for checking in!

MemberHi Dave,
Oh man, so sorry for the confusion with the email!
It does appear  in that screenshot that you are doing everything perfectly and no other action is needed on your part.
Again, so sorry for the miscommunication but thanks for following up to make sure all is good — better safe than sorry!

MemberHello Anissa,
Great question! Event Tickets Plus does allow you to set the price for your tickets to be anything you would like. However, it is a single price field so, if you are planning to add in a service fee, then it would need to be added in with the original price. Unfortunately, the plugin will not line item both costs.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffJuly 25, 2016 at 10:16 am in reply to: How flexible is TEC and ET+ – will they accommodate a variety of classes? #1143701Geoff
MemberHello Karelle,
Thanks for getting in touch! These are great questions, so let’s tackle them one at a a time.
1. my client teaches classes through several organizations – those classes should be displayed on a calendar and contain a link to the organizations for registration and payment. The org controls the number of students. Easy, right?
Yes, easy! The Events Calendar (free) does have a Website URL field that can be used to link directly to a registration platform.
However, if you’re also using our Event Tickets (also free) and Event Tickets Plus plugins with The Events Calendar, then you can take registration for the classes directly on your site and even use custom registration fields for attendees to complete when registering.
It’s also worth noting that the plugins allow you to set the number of tickets allowed so that an event is never accidentally oversold.
2. my client will also be teaching some multi-session classes, with fixed dates, not through an outside organization. Students will need to register and pay through her own website. Number of students will have to be limited through the software. We already use woocommerce to sell artwork. Still easy?
Yes, still easy! Event Tickets Plus (mentioned above) integrates directly with WooCommerce, allowing you to create tickets for your events and sell them directly as Products in WooCommerce.
3. This is the one that’s critical and may be harder: she also offers studio time for people who want to work on their own projects, only on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings.
This is where it gets tricky and, to be honest, something that I do not believe is a good fit with our plugins–though it is an awesome idea. The plugins do not offer a nice clean way for attendees to purchase multiple events at a time nor do they include something that would allow an attendee to purchase a credit of classes that can then be redeemed for attendance. Every ticket is associated with a specific event, so the ticket that is purchased would need to be used for that event.
Sorry about the bad news on that last point, but does this at least help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberThanks a ton, Jerry! That’s super helpful because it confirms you are running the latest versions of the plugin. It also gives me some additional settings you’re using that I can try on my own test site.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to recreate the issue just yet. Here is a screenshot of a weekly event I created that goes into 2017 and here’s another screenshot of it in the WordPress admin.
As a next step, would you be willing to share a screenshot of recurrence settings for that specific event? That will allow me to try creating the exact same event on my test site using the same settings you used to create yours. Something like this is what I’m looking for.
Hopefully we can pinpoint the issue from there, but if not, I’ll be asking you to try a couple of other things: one being to delete the existing event and creating a new one in its place. The other to test for conflicts with the theme and other installed plugins. No worries about doing any of that yet, I just wanted to give you a heads up of how we’re planning to tackle this.
Thanks!

MemberHey Chris — hope you had a great weekend!
To be honest, I’m not totally sure what sort of lift it would take. I did a little digging and found that at least some of the code for the distance filter is contained in Events Calendar PRO in the /src/functions/template-tags/general.php file, but for converting the distance units and outputting that numerical value.
That said, I think it would be a slightly heavy development lift to locate the exact function. The change itself might not be as difficult as the locating.
Cheers,
