August 23, 2016 at 3:34 pm in reply to: Calendar Feed Not Validating due to random characters #1155078
Cliff
MemberNick, I found an official reply of ours at Custom RSS feeds and it looks like I misremembered how we support RSS feeds. I got it confused with Allow RSS feeds into the events calendar. Sorry about that.
So, going forward, I logged this as a bug.
Your site is running 4.2.4 and my local testing site is running 4.2.5 and both have RSS feeds not validating.
Our demo site is currently running 4.2.1 and is validating: both http://wpshindig.com/events/feed/ and http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/feed/
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

MemberJason, I was able to replicate the issue. Here’s an example from my local testing site: https://cl.ly/3U1X0c3y2E2A

MemberPlease let me know if I understand you correctly:
- you have had that code snippet in place all this time
- since updating to 4.2.5, the code snippet no longer works as it did before
- adding the line 624 edit you previously mentioned in version 4.2.5 makes your snippet work again
Is all this correct?
Cliff
MemberThanks for trying. Does switching your language back to English fix it (wp-admin > Settings > General)?
Please make sure to re-save Permalinks each time you make a change.

MemberSure. Please try this code:
body.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-image, body.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-single-event-description { vertical-align: top; display: inline-block; width: 48%; }For me, it turned it into this: https://cl.ly/3P191d1Q0t1p
Let me know how it goes for you.

MemberI’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi Mike.
Thanks for your patience on this.
Here’s a code snippet that should accomplish what you’re wanting:

MemberHi Mathew.
FYI: I visited https://www.swflsustainability.com/event/innovative-transportation-land-use-planning-workshop-summit/ (your link from that other forum thread) and noticed console errors at your site: https://cl.ly/0A2n1l3R0h04
(If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Regarding the question you have in this thread, though, I activated Yoast SEO 3.4.2 (latest version) and was able to replicate this issue with Event Tickets’ RSVP type tickets (although WooCommerce type tickets did work when ET+ was active).
In my local testing site’s console area, I saw this error when trying to save an RSVP ticket: https://cl.ly/1N1G2V0B1k3a

MemberHi Ron. I didn’t quite understand exactly what you were asking, but yes, you can allow anonymous submissions (i.e. submissions without being logged in to a WordPress account) on the Community Events form.
Did you need help enabling this at wp-admin > Events > Settings > Community tab — or were you trying to ask a different question?
Cliff
MemberHi Chris. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
1)
- If you have PRO, your Venues get a page, like this.
- Or, if you have Filter Bar, your calendar views can be filtered to show only the events taking place at a specific Venue (and you could bookmark that URL to your site’s menu if you wanted). Example from http://wpshindig.com/events/ -> https://cl.ly/3h3Z460c1H0T
2)
You could use our PRO Color Customizer and/or add your own custom CSS.
3)
Yes (although technically you could buy both iCal Importer and Facebook Importer now if you couldn’t wait — but it’ll likely cost a bit more to buy these two separately). Events Aggregator will be able to import from both Google and Facebook.
4)
No. It’s possibly something on our long-term roadmap (more along the lines of an Event Publisher/Promoter line of thinking), but no, not at this time or in the short-term future. You can manually share a link to a Single Event page and it should show up nicely in Facebook’s URL previewer. However, you might be able to accomplish this with Zapier. Read more here: Automating Event Promotion With Zapier
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberHi William.
I believe I understand what you’re asking for, but we’re limited in helping with such customizations, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
I’d suggest asking your theme author/support for their recommendations.
