May 23, 2017 at 8:37 am in reply to: Recurring event series first instance going to /all after edit (repeat) #1287687
Cliff
MemberThank you. I created a Once recurrence on a different day at a different time and even changed my Events slug from “events/event” to “concerts/concert” and have the same rewrite rules results as you do, but both of the instances in the recurrence series work just fine and do not redirect to /all.
Since this isn’t currently a known issue and I wasn’t able to replicate what you are experiencing, I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please re-share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi, Stephen.
Please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue.
If there are no WP_DEBUG messages, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if it’s still happening.
Please let me know how this goes for you.

MemberGotcha.
1)
Could you please provide the full code you’re using to customize the Community Events form’s required/validated fields?
2)
Regarding your June customization, that would be possible via JavaScript, but doing such in-depth customization for you would be outside our Scope of Support / Terms.
If there’s a code snippet for it that you would like me to put some eyes on or something else I can help you with, please update this ticket or create a new ticket if it’s a separate issue.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
Cliff
MemberHi again, Mark.
I provided you a similar code snippet, here. I assume your developer customized it from there.
I already provided that custom code, which is above and beyond our Scope of Support / Terms (which we like to do from time-to-time).
However, additional customizations, especially to your own version of it, isn’t available from our support.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

MemberSorry for the third reply here… I also wanted to let you know that our tickets do not currently support Events Calendar PRO‘s recurring events feature.
If you start to create a ticket for a recurring event, there will be a little question mark notice that reads:
Currently, tickets will only show up on the frontend once per full event. For PRO users this means the same ticket will appear across all events in the series. Please configure your events accordingly.
You should add your vote to this existing feature request for Event Tickets to support PRO’s recurring events.
Something some users are doing right now is using PRO’s recurring events to populate their events calendar but then breaking each occurrence from the series to turn them into single events — basically using PRO as an event generator but not actually using its recurring events functionality on the front-end. Others are just dealing with the tickets on recurring events even though you can’t then tell <i>which</i> occurrence they reserved the ticket for… use this information for your own reference but please don’t take it as any sort of recommendation.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
Cliff
MemberOh, and you could actually use the tribe_tickets_register_ticket_post_type_args filter to rename “Tickets” and “RSVP Tickets” titles if you want to go that route. There’s not a similar function for WooTickets, though.
Cliff
MemberHi, Cathy. I’ll answer your questions in opposite order:
2)
This extension should make it easy! 🙂
1)
Unfortunately, we don’t have such an extension for renaming “Tickets”, but we do have this information regarding translations:
- Translating the premium plugins
- Translating The Events Calendar (free/core plugin)
- How to Override Plugin Language Files (custom language files on your own site)
- Customizing/Changing any bit of text (actual code snippet is at the very bottom) — or using the Say what? plugin (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us) might be easier to setup and use to do the same thing as our provided code snippet
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Cliff
MemberHi, Stefan. Glad to have you around!

Those titles already look translated, but we have this information regarding translations:

In our forums we keep our threads focused on just one issue at a time to ensure we fully answer each of your questions/issues. Please keep this in mind for the future and start a new thread for your additional questions from this thread (please include a link to the other support post you found). Thanks for your understanding.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
Cliff
MemberHi, Jamie. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
This was an issue in the past but not for our current versions to our knowledge.
Could you please go to wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks and re-save your Permalinks and try again?
Cliff
MemberHi, Monique. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
We do have the Community Events add-on that allows users to add new events via a front-end form (instead of needing access to your wp-admin area). It can also allow anonymous submissions if you set it up that way.
However, we don’t currently have integration to charge for the ability to add events, which is one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3762678-charge-for-event-submission-and-premium-featured-e
Please do add your vote there. This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
Currently, some site owners are adding a membership plugin to control access to the Community Events form and charge for it in this way.
We also have the Community Tickets add-on, which allows your users to create paid tickets via the Community Events form, of which you can setup Split/Chained Payments so you can take a flat-fee or percentage of their ticket sales.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberHi, Jesse.
I just tried submitting an event (here’s a video), and it went through (so please delete it from your site).
Since I wasn’t able to replicate the issue, maybe it’s a browser-specific issue. Could you please share your information from http://supportdetails.com/ on a browser that you can reproduce this issue on?
