MemberPlease provide me the full PHP file (e.g. Dropbox link) and an annotated screenshot of what you have with your customization and what else it’s needing/missing. Then I’ll be able to see where I can help.

MemberThanks for your effort and thorough report here.
Their theme actually claims compatibility/integration with our plugin.
I’d guess there’s a console error at your site on the wp-admin page where this should appear but doesn’t. If not a JavaScript error in the console, possibly a WP_DEBUG error.
Whichever it may be, I don’t have a way to obtain that theme or specific plugin of theirs, and especially since they claim integration with our plugin, you should report this conflict to them.
Please let me know if there’s anything more you think I can help with on this topic.

MemberI understand the frustration getting stuck in the middle on something like this; it’s just part of the WordPress ecosystem from time-to-time.
There is a list of themes that have integration with our plugin, although we don’t promote or prefer them; it’s just an FYI.
Specific to LayerSlider, I assume it would have the same limitations as other sliders: that it can read custom post types and their custom fields, but they don’t know how to handle our specific plugin’s custom field data (e.g. sorting events by datetime).
You could reference our Slider Revolution KB article. Many of the references there could probably work similarly for any other slider.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberThanks for sharing your thoughts, Mathew.
This thread should get updated once our developers take a closer look and release a fix. Sorry about the trouble it may cause.

MemberThomas, sorry for the delayed reply.
I had Andras (from the other support thread you linked to) help us out and check if he could reproduce this on the latest versions of our plugins.
Using these settings, WP 4.7.5, TEC, and PRO (with WP_DEBUG enabled), he did not see any error messages on the All page of a recurring event nor in the List View.
If you’re on the latest versions of everything, please pass along the full WP_DEBUG message(s).
Thank you.

MemberEasy fix; sorry about that. Copying and pasting from older extensions got me in trouble there, but it didn’t fail on my side because I have some older extensions installed.
I also enhanced it to add the Before/After positioning option that used to be on the CE form but in a slightly different fashion.
This one shouldn’t fail for you and is pretty much completed code-wise: https://cl.ly/1D241I3v2n1K
Please let me know how this goes for you.

MemberSorry but the images did not come through (they don’t come through via email replies). Please upload them via the forum. Thank you.

MemberPlease enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see.
Also, would you be able to share a screen capture video to clarify exactly what’s happening here?

MemberHi, Mark. I understand it can be frustrating when experiencing something like this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention and that of the theme author.
We do not provide theme integration support, per our Scope of Support / Terms, but many themes have chosen to build in integration for our plugin(s).
Because a theme essentially runs the entire site, the theme should really be the one to integrate with our plugin if they are loading things differently than how WordPress does by default.
If there’s actually a plugin (e.g. slider) conflict, you should see if you can replicate the issue with a WordPress default theme like Twenty Sixteen. If you can’t, then we know the theme is at play here, too. If you can, then we should focus on just that plugin instead of the theme and plugin together with our plugin(s).
Please keep me updated with what the Bridge theme’s support shares with you.
Thanks!

MemberHi, Sarah. Yup!
Please reference our Slider Revolution KB article for an idea of what’s possible (although I don’t have any personal experience with the slider you mentioned).
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberGreat!
Lucky you… here’s a beta version of a forthcoming extension: https://cl.ly/1O1k3c0J1f3W
Just install it like a regular plugin. (See reference https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-install-an-extension/ for additional information.)
Please try it out (knowing that the code should work but it hasn’t gone through full QA) and share your feedback (if it works, if the settings are intuitive, if it’s missing any functionality, etc). In other words, please try to break it… and know that you shouldn’t use this version once the non-beta version is released.
Thanks and happy Friday! 🙂

MemberSorry you’re still having an issue with this.
We’d really benefit from a screen capture video. Please do. Thank you!

MemberGreg, sorry you’re experiencing this.
Please provide me a screenshot of this event’s wp-admin event edit screen — the part where the event date, time, and timezone.
