ParticipantAfter installing a new theme socialize.wpengine.com and transfering the site from stage to live, the “series” do not work when I try to add a new event! When I edit an existing events, “series” work fine!
I also tried to delete via ftp all plugin files and reinstall plugins but the problem persists!
Any hint?
George

MemberHi, George. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
If it really was a full copy from staging to production, I’m not sure how this could have happened.
It also shouldn’t be affected by a new theme if it worked on staging first.
So is everything still working fine on your staging site? If yes, please ask WP Engine about copying to your production site.

ParticipantHi Cliff!
Well, I didn’t activate the PRO plugin in the stage environment since I didn’t had to add any new events!
So, how we shoould proceed?
Cheers,
George

ParticipantA question: What about transfering the “live” to “stage”, activate the “PRO” and then copy from “stage” to “Live”?
Cheers,
George

ParticipantHello again! I just copied from live to stage and I got a message tha “my licences keys are out of installs”
So, there is still a problem when trying to install on stage so can I fix the issue directly on the live environment?
Cheers,
george

MemberYour staging/development site should usually start as being a copy of your production site (i.e. same plugins active).
Please reference https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/license-key-out-of-installs/ (likely the last link in that article) and let me know if this answers your question.

ParticipantWell, the stage url is according to the laste paragraph naming conventions but it still asks for a licence!
http://elamazi.staging.wpengine.com/
Please, help!

MemberIf you’re referring to the “.staging” TLD example from https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/, that is referring to a TLD, such as “mysite.staging“, not “mysite.staging.wpengine.com” (where .com would be the TLD)
We do have an internal feature request for popular web hosts’ staging URLs to be handled how you’re expecting them to be. I’ll add this forum thread to that request.

ParticipantSo, do I have to wait until you find a new feature regarding popular web hosts…?
Sory but I ‘ve paid for the PRO and it doesnt’ work! How we can sort it out sooner? A clean install maybe?

MemberTo be clear, the license does work; you just have to choose which site you want it registered to–your production or staging site. The one that’s registered at https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/ (where you can also disconnect/deregister) is the one that can receive automatic plugin updates.
Also, the first FAQ from https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/ states:
Q: My dev site doesn’t use a .dev or .test domain name—it’s a subdomain like dev.example.com, or something else. Will this work?
A: Unfortunately, no, at this time we only support the specific TLD configurations listed above, and localhost sites.
You should do your staging work on localhost, upgrade to a license (like from 1 site Personal to 3 sites Business) that provides you enough sites to have both production and staging registered, or just have one of your site’s domains registered.
For example, if you use Staging to do an update and test if the newest version works with your site, and then you publish from Staging to Production, just remove the license key from the Production site.
Please let me know if this makes sense and is clear to you now.

ParticipantHi again!
I still heve a problem! More precisely, I just deregistered the plugin from the licences, delete the PRO plugin from elamazi.gr, clean the cache from cloudflare, install the PRO plugin again!
Then, as you can see the attached, there is no any extra fields when I try to add a new event in order to add ie recursive events!
So, can you propose a solution on that?
Cheers,
George

MemberOkay, I think the misunderstanding here is that the license key being active or not even entered at all does not affect functionality.
Therefore, if you’re having issues with this, it’s not related to your license key being registered or not.
I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Cliff and thanks for your reply!
I just found out tha the plugin that causes the conflict is the Socialize Plugin, a required plugin for Socialize theme I purchased from ThemeForest. It includes a number of features that you can still use if you switch to another theme. ver 3.6 | GhostPool (https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool/portfolio?ref=GhostPool)
And when that plugig is active, there is no “schedule multiple events” button enabled!
In the next minutes, Using a private message, I ll send you the system admin info!
I am waiting your reply!
Thanx once more,
George
