MemberYou initially said, “default distance from their postal code” so that’s why I wanted to confirm.
I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/13195095-map-view-option-to-automatically-list-events-nea
Please do add your vote there.
This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.

The FYI was to let you know that if you were to enter a location in the “Near” search field in the Tribe Bar, it would display one of the main views, not a widget or shortcode view.
Cliff
MemberI was asking for a copy of one of your actual emails so I could report to the mPDF team. However, I simplified it and reported just from my own testing: https://github.com/mpdf/mpdf/issues/591
You can keep an eye out there if you want.
December 27, 2017 at 10:36 am in reply to: Getting an event from our calendar to another organization's calendar fully inta #1413456Cliff
MemberHi, Sheila.
The tribe_ical_feed_item filter is found in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/iCal.php
If you’re unfamiliar with WordPress but know PHP, search that file for “do_action” and “apply_filters” to see what is easily customizable.
For your specific request, the location should be coming through (see Line 327 of that file). Additionally, Organizer should appear per Line 371 of that file.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
Cliff
MemberThanks for letting us know and for your understanding.

MemberSure thing!
I confirmed this issue when importing from Facebook.
I marked this thread as Pending Fix, which means it should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

December 22, 2017 at 4:20 pm in reply to: wired things the plugin stop show events by countries even if there is event in #1412019Cliff
MemberHi. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Could you please send me a screenshot of this venue’s location information in the wp-admin editor?
Cliff
MemberHi. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
I visited your site and see what you’re talking about.
I tried the latest versions of our plugins, WordPress core, and the Twenty Seventeen theme and couldn’t replicate this issue with the main map view nor this shortcode:
[tribe_events view="map"]We haven’t seen other users reporting this either so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi, David.
Please specify how you know someone’s postal code.
Also, FYI, the Tribe Mini Calendar shortcode or widget wouldn’t be what’s displayed for such a query, assuming you’re using the Tribe Bar.
Cliff
MemberActually, we’ll focus on issue #1 in this thread and issue #2 in your other duplicate thread at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/wired-things-the-plugin-stop-show-events-by-countries-even-if-there-is-event-in/
Cliff
MemberHi. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
1)
Please provide one or more Facebook URL(s) you’re experiencing this and I’ll see if I can replicate the issue.
2)
If an image were to import, it would be stored in your Media Library.
3)
No profile images come through like you were thinking. You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
Cliff
MemberHi.
In our forums we keep our threads focused on just one issue at a time to ensure we fully answer each of your questions/issues. Please keep this in mind for the future and start a new thread for your additional questions from this thread.
1)
Please provide one or more Facebook URL(s) you’re experiencing this and I’ll see if I can replicate the issue.
2)
Would you be able to share an annotated screenshot, screen capture video, and/or relevant URLs to clarify exactly what’s happening here?
Cliff
MemberMarking this as a duplicate. We’ll handle your question at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/stop-import-images-from-facebook-events/ instead.
