MemberHi @dbswebsite,
We can’t help too much with custom development tasks like this one, but here are a few things you could investigate:
- Could you move the code out of the template and into your functions.php file (or a plugin) and run it on the init action? You could go on to pull the result back into your template at the appropriate point and may find the results are more consistent
- If you want to keep the current order of operations it may be that the dates you are providing are being overridden because of the nature of the event view being requested (if the query’s eventDisplay property is upcoming as it would be in list view, for example, the end date will be set to an empty value) – so explicitly setting an appropriate value for eventDisplay (like custom, but you may need to experiment a little) could be an alternative approach
Do either of those help/give you a few more avenues to explore?

MemberHi @superiorns,
I’m not sure that you will be able to do that without some customization work – the CSV importer was designed primarily to import new events rather than function as a mass update tool. So, at this time, though we’d welcome any feature requests you might post along these lines, we’d need to leave it to you to figure out anything else you need above and beyond the expected default behaviour.
I hope that clarifies things but let me know if you have any further questions!

MemberHi Mat: the basic mechanics will be pretty similar – so you could certainly use the approach illustrated for WooCommerce as a template of sorts – however at this time we do not have a pre-written snippet or tutorial available to help with this one, I’m afraid.

Member@materdeiknights: I’m afraid that right now there is not a public issue tracker – but we will certainly do our best to re-open the thread and post updates as and when there is something to report.
The snippet you provided from Github, however, does that only apply to when you query with tribe_get_events()?
I thought this was supposed to work for the regular calendar, normally found at yoursite.com/events/, no?
It will indeed work with tribe_get_events() – but it certainly isn’t limited to exclusively fixing the results of that function alone: for instance, it ought to take effect within list view. With that said, it will not have the desired effect within some other views such as month view because not every view is composed in the same way.
Ultimately the snippet is intended to provide a little relief until a substantive fix arrives but isn’t a cure-all by any means. I appreciate this “sucks” but would emphasize that we have prioritized this issue and will aim to resolve it as quickly as we can.
As there isn’t much else we can offer in the short term I will close this thread – again, we will aim to post updates here as and when there is something to report.
Thanks so much for your patience and support 🙂

MemberI do have that set on the page itself, but there must be some override somewhere …Â Additionally, I should mention the tab system at the bottom of the page on the home page: http://www.pghmannerchor.com, will not grab the /events page
I’m not entirely sure what you mean here – but I wonder if perhaps you have created a placeholder page called Events? If so, that isn’t something The Events Calendar itself will recognize (nor can we offer any guidance about your tab system as we have no knowledge of how that has been implemented).
Since writing you last, I’ve decided to slap a new theme on it from your guys. http://www.pghmannerchor.com/events. I still cannot figure out how to make the page full-width.
I’m not really sure what you are referring to when you talk about a theme from our guys, but in any case can we roll back a step and revisit my previous suggestion of changing the event template setting?
This tutorial may also be of interest – it focuses on Twenty Twelve but the general principles will carry over to most themes.
I hope that helps!
Barry
MemberThat is strange.
Can you confirm if any core template files were modified directly? If not, can you take the troubleshooting process a stage further and:
- Ensure The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO are up to date
- Deactivate all other plugins
- Switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve (I appreciate you already tried this step, but please do so again at the same time as have deactivated the other plugins)
Thanks!

MemberThere are some settings in Events → Settings → Display that could be useful here:
- Try changing the template to Default Events Template or try some other options
- You can also Disable the event search bar if you prefer a simpler layout
Does that help here?

MemberHi @nicleics,
This must be a pretty frustrating situation and you absolutely have our sympathies.
What I’d suggest at this point is installing WordPress in a subdirectory per my earlier suggestion and testing things out there – that way, we could gain some useful insights and see if everything is fine within your hosting environment with just a plain copy of WordPress, The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO before other factors are introduced.
I realize you stated you weren’t comfortable with that process earlier in this thread: is that still your feeling? If so is there anyone who could help you with this? Alternatively, our offer of a refund certainly still stands should it be easiest to try out a different solution.
