OK got it working, but really quite buggy.

Any way to get rid of the oddly placed options at the top?

    Thanks!

    Hi Alexander,

Sorry to hear you were hitting difficulties – but I’m glad you got the primary issues sorted.

Any way to get rid of the oddly placed options at the top?

I’m not quite sure what you mean, can you be a little more specific?

    Thanks!

    Hi Barry,

I don’t want the search option at the top. Also, I have the page set to full width and it’s forcing a sidebar. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Alexander

There are some settings in Events → Settings → Display that could be useful here:

    • Try changing the template to Default Events Template or try some other options
    • You can also Disable the event search bar if you prefer a simpler layout

    Does that help here?

    Hi Barry,
Since writing you last, I’ve decided to slap a new theme on it from your guys. http://www.pghmannerchor.com/events. I still cannot figure out how to make the page full-width. I do have that set on the page itself, but there must be some override somewhere. I don’t know, what do you think. I have been using the Aleyska Theme for some time and just recently upgraded. Previous version, I was able to create an events calendar that was full page. This is just too scrunched.
    Thanks,
    Alex

Additionally, I should mention the tab system at the bottom of the page on the home page: http://www.pghmannerchor.com, will not grab the /events page, which is terribly irritating. It just displays a blank page. Meaning, I am not sure if /events is being looked at as an actual page. Something isn’t set correctly.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean here – but I wonder if perhaps you have created a placeholder page called EventsIf so, that isn’t something The Events Calendar itself will recognize (nor can we offer any guidance about your tab system as we have no knowledge of how that has been implemented).

I’m not really sure what you are referring to when you talk about a theme from our guys, but in any case can we roll back a step and revisit my previous suggestion of changing the event template setting?

This tutorial may also be of interest – it focuses on Twenty Twelve but the general principles will carry over to most themes.

    I hope that helps!

I can try things, but for some reason the page that I’ve created as Events isn’t populating into the tab system (will contact theme developer). As for the full-width aspect of things, I guess I will ask him as well.

We’re doing a little housekeeping and I’m going to go ahead and close this thread as it’s fairly old at this point!
