MemberHi Gregg,
Thanks for contacting us and I’m sorry to hear you’ve experiencing some troubles.
I’m still getting the “you need a multi-site license” messages, but now in the backend of my account on The Events Calendar site theres a big red warning that says I need a multi-site license.
We’re aware of this issue and I appreciate it is annoying – but I’d like to reassure you that it will not impact your site on a functional level. In other words, Event Tickets Plus will continue to operate as normal.
So, to try and fix this I ran updates for both WordPress, Woo Commerce and The Events Calendar – but the events are still not showing up. And, when I go into Events in wp-admin, there’s not even a way to add new events, that functionality is gone too.
This is a lot more concerning and I’d like to focus on resolving this first of all.
So should this normally show your main calendar view, as generated by The Events Calendar? One thing I notice on reviewing your system information is that The Events Calendar isn’t actually there. Is it possible that it was accidentally deactivated or removed? Alternatively, perhaps due to version mismatches it is unable to run.
Can you confirm it is indeed activated (or network activated) and what it’s version number is?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Dennis,
Thanks for contacting us and I’m sorry to hear your error log has been filling up in this way.
It does sound like – functionally speaking – there is no problem that you’ve yet encountered, is that correct? We do have a bug on our radar that can impact users like you who updated from a version before 4.4 to that or a higher release and I suspect that is behind this.
With that in mind, I’ll attach this forum topic to our internal bug ticket and we will update you as soon as the fix is available.

MemberHi @SiteCrafting, I’m afraid we haven’t had an opportunity to progress this one just yet — but this forum topic has been attached to our internal bug report so we’ll be sure to give you an update as soon as it is ready.

MemberHi! This should have been resolved in our 4.4 release. If you believe that is not the case and are experiencing the same issue with our latest releases, please do open a new forum topic to let us know: one of the team will be only too happy to assist further 🙂

MemberHi Dylan,
I can definitely appreciate that that would be a frustrating scenario.
If you visit the Events → Settings → Tickets screen and look at the WooCommerce specific settings, which statuses are enabled both the settings you see there?
new order email – Doesnt work
tickets email – WorksThis is strange, but I want to note that the new order email in particular is not something we control – that is entirely handled by WooCommerce itself. If you test this by ordering a ‘regular’ product (ie, something other than a ticket) do you find there are problems with emails then, too?

MemberHi Jason,
Thanks for contacting us 🙂
Outlook’s handling of iCal data varies a little from other apps and the behaviour of creating a new calendar is something that can be a little annoying. Community contributor Andy Fragen did help out here by making this handy plugin available, though:
wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-outlook-import-fix
Want to try installing and activating it – and see if that helps?
Barry
MemberYou can certainly disable it – with a single line of code that can be added to your theme’s functions.php file or to a custom plugin:
add_filter( 'tribe_events_add_no_index_meta', '__return_false' );
Is there a reason the month view is set that way?
Everyone has different SEO needs and we are continually adjusting facets of the plugin like this one as, of course, the way search engines behave is also continually changing.
I believe this adjustment was originally made because of a perceived problem with what are sometimes termed “soft 404s”. Really, though, how search engine optimization looks in practice varies from site to site and according to the amount and distribution of data you have within your site. In essence: do what works for you.

MemberHi Arnaud,
We’d be happy to help but would you mind creating a new topic of your own? I appreciate your goals are similar to Riza’s, but there could easily be a different underlying problem in your case (especially as Riza noted the solution worked for her).
Thanks!

MemberHi Kelly!
Is it possible to disable the “upcoming events” heading on the events page?
Yes, though it would require a further customization. One approach would be to add some custom CSS:
.tribe-events-page-title { display: none }This can be done via the Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS setting.
If you need further assistance on this or the above approach doesn’t work, would you mind creating a new topic? We do try hard to stick to one issue per forum topic – it helps us to provide timely assistance to everyone and, by keeping each topic focused on a specific problem, it also makes it a lot easier for others to research problems and solutions in the future.
Thanks!

MemberChris,
You are clearly very frustrated and on our side we need to think about what we might change in our messaging to provide better guidance to you and other users in future.
Your sales page should CLEARLY state that this is a COMPLETELY 3rd Party HOSTED SOLUTION! you are being deciptive.
I disagree, we’re not being deceptive by any means and we don’t seek to trick people into thinking they have a plugin when in fact they are interfacing with a service.
The fact that Event Aggregator largely functions as a remote service is something that’s pivotal to the way it works and is one of its chief benefits: we have no reason to hide that and are – as ever – happy to answer any questions our users have about how it works.
This exchange does however highlight that there is room for confusion and clearly we need to address that so that all parties are fully equipped with the facts.
