    Hey Brandon,

What you can do is set up your calendar to be the main page of your website. This is done under Settings > Reading > Your home page displays and choose ‘Main Events Page’ as the homepage.

Note however that if you navigate to a different view then ‘events’ will make it back to the slug. There is no built-in option to remove this. You can change it to something different though under Events > Settings > General tab.

When you are looking at specific events then the slug will say something like:

    http://domain.com/event/this-is-the-event-slug

‘event’ is also changeable on the same settings page.

Let me know if this helps.

    Cheers,

    Hi DL,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your questions! I can help you out with them.

do you have discounts for non-profits?

Indeed. We have a non profit partnership program. Please check out the details here:

Is it possible to share tickets through email? I.e. to buy on behalf of multiple others?

A user can purchase any number of tickets. The buyer will receive all tickets in an email. Note, that all tickets will be included in one email, not as an attachment.

We also have an extension that will give you the option of PDF tickets and getting the tickets as an attachment. However in this case also all the tickets will be in one PDF file, not separately.

Is it possible to buy different types of tickets at the same time? (For example, children and adults)

Is it possible to buy multiple tickets of different types? (e.g. Two adults and one children)

Yes, this is possible with the use of an eCommerce plugin like WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads.

This is <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>not</span> possible with the built in Tribe Commerce functionality of Event Tickets / Event Tickets Plus. With ET / ET+ you can purchase more of the same ticket, but you cannot purchase different tickets.

Is it possible to have a “Pack”? For example a family pack with two adults and two children.

You can either set up a “Family” ticket like that, or you can use WooCommerce and some of its extensions that would automatically calculate a discount if certain conditions are met. This latter, since it’s done by third-party plugins, is beyond our control and support.

is it possible to issue free tickets (eg – to press, special donors), with these tickets still showing up as attendees?

Yes, it is possible and they will show up on the attendee list.

Is it possible to integrate with our existing gateway payment?

Based on your previous questions I believe the best option for you would be to use WooCommerce as an eCommerce solution and the gateways provided by it.

As for payment gateways, currently we natively support PayPal, without any additional plugins, or the gateways supported by WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads.

I hope this gives you all the answers. Should you have more questions, let me know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Krystyna,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I have seen some similar issues before. My hunch is this is a conflict with your theme or a plugin. Our conflict testing guide can help you figure out which one. Let me know what you find.

Could you maybe also send me a screenshot of the issue?

    Thanks,

    Hello Anna,

Thank you for getting in touch with us and considering our plugins.

You have posted some really awesome questions there. Let me answer them for you one by one.

This is a 501c3 and has very limited funds.

We do have a non profit partnership program and you could apply to receive a free license. You can check out the details here:

    Show all upcoming events.

Yes, that is possible. There are also different settings to limit how many events are shown on a page or on a calendar day in month view.

Can you specify colors for various categories of events?

For this we would recommend this third-party plugin. Lot of our users are successfully using it:

Note, since this is a third-party plugin we do not provide support for it.

Some events will be free such as a worship service and require no registration.

    That works without issues.

    Some events will be recurring

Yes, with Events Calendar Pro you will be able to create recurring events.

One note here: recurring ticket for recurring events are not supported at the moment. So you will need to separately create tickets for all recurrences of the event.

For some events there will be a charge. If there is a book to be purchased for a class, is it possible for them to pay for both the class as well as the book or JUST the class.

You will need our free Event Tickets plugin for this functionality. For every event you can set up multiple tickets with different prices.

If you would like a more advanced solution and options then you will need Event Tickets Plus and an eCommerce plugin like WooCommerce. But Event Tickets should have you covered.

Would also like someone to register but not have to pay until they arrive

Event Tickets also give you the possibility to collect free registrations / RSVPs.

Does the system notify the site owner when someone has registered but not paid?

If this is the above free RSVP registration, then yes. The website owner receives an email of all RSVPs and also of all ticket sales.

Would like payment to be via PayPal with confirmation email and a way to cancel registration and refund their payment if they change their mind.

We have just introduced this functionality into Event Tickets. You can set it up to work with PayPal without needing an extra eCommerce solution. Note, you will need a PayPal business account.

Does it show the site owner the total of those registered?

Yes there is an Attendee page and an Orders page for every event that lists the people who have registered or purchased tickets, cancelled their participation and so on.

Can you set limits to keep more people from registering than the room can accommodate?

Yes, this is possible with the Event Tickets Plus plugin. The functionality is called shared capacity and does exactly what you ask. You can set up the event capacity and that is the total number of tickets and RSVPs that can be made / sold for the event. The amount can be adjusted any time of course.

Will this interact with Google Calendar or you use this INSTEAD of Google Calendar?

The Events Calendar is intended to be used instead of / without Google Calendar.

Our Event Aggregator service gives you the option to import event from Google Calendar on a regular basis, if that is something that you would need. It cannot push events from your site to Google Calendar though.

    Can you display national holidays?

Yes, the calendar can display anything you upload into it manually or what you import with Event Aggregator from a Google Calendar, Facebook etc. There is no option / functionality to automatically import national holidays.

I hope this answers your questions. In case you have any more or you need more details on a functionality I’d be happy to answer, just let me know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hey Heather,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Let’s get this straightened out so you can get your site working as you need it.

When you are creating / editing the ticket on the event page, the Start / End sale dates in the Advanced section control the general sales period of the ticket, regardless of the price. When a ticket is created those dates will be automatically filled in with some dates from the creation date until the starting date / time of the event, unless you specify it.

If you want to do a discount on the ticket for a couple of days you only need to set that up on the WooCommerce product page. That will then automatically be reflected in the ticket, and there is no need to change anything elsewhere.

Here’s a screenshot, the result of my testing: https://cloudup.com/caAMRbfyvHc

Let me know if this helps / explains.

    Hi dlynn,

Try adding the following snippet to your css:

    @media screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    .tribe-events-sub-nav {
    display: none;
    }
    }

This should get rid of both the top and bottom navigation for screens smaller than 480px wide. You can adjust that value if you want to.

Let me know if this does the trick.

    Hi Jaime,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I checked the feed you provided and it looks like outlook does not give over the different categories for the events. Since the data is not present when it’s getting pulled, it cannot be saved with your events. I’m sorry. This is beyond what we can do as we don’t control what feed is provided by Outlook 365.

Could you give me an example of an event and a category it belongs to so I can take a more detailed look? Just to double check.

    Hi,

I would be happy to dig into this further. For this I would need some exact examples, if you can give them to me.

For example can you give me an event and dates, when it was imported and then duplicated because of changed text?

One note, if it’s a new event, that is not imported into your calendar, and 2 imports run at the same time that have the same event in them, that will certainly cause a duplication. In this case both imports – at approx the same time – check if the event exists in your database already. Since none of them find it, both create it, hence duplicated.

If you can’t give and examples now, then we can wait until the next time it happens.

    Hi Jan,

Good to have you back. Let’s continue.

Shared capacity is a bit different animal. In this case some manual intervention might be needed.

I recommend you to go through the following article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-cancel-tickets-order/

Also, the stock is ‘recorded’ on several levels. What I did not see in your screen recording is the WooCommerce product page. Each ticket has a corresponding WooCommerce product. Stock status is also recorded there under inventory. That is driving some of the numbers, so check that too.

About the stock column showing double the availability: this happens with Advance Post Manager. We are aware of this issue and will try to fix it in an upcoming release of APM.

    Hi Lisa,

Yeah, that seems like a good workaround.

What you can also try is using a shortcode that comes with PRO. You can define the view and specify a date.

If the date option doesn’t suit you (for map view you can show a specific month), then you could try showing one category or featured events. In this case you will need to manually adjust the events so those show up which you want.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Andras
