KeymasterHi Lisa,
After reviewing your request this essentially looks like a custom development task and so is outside of our stated scope of support.
With that being said, we’d love to help point you in the right direction.
If you’d prefer not to tackle this customization on your own, we may be able to assist you further. We do need to prioritize support requests from other customers at this time but I’ll certainly flag this with the team and – although we can’t make any promises – if we have time and space to come back and help, we’ll be happy to do so. Please let us know if you’d like to go this route so that you can be added to this queue.
In the meantime, if there is any more information you can share (including mocks) that will help us to better understand what you are seeking please do feel free to add them to this ticket.
If you urgently need help with this, however, you may instead wish to consider working with a suitably skilled developer or designer who can offer the additional level of support you require.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Zacary,
Thanks for your questions!
If I have a WooCommerce site with a subscription product with the purchaser of that subscription given a “subscriber” role, is it possible to set a different default role for event attendees?
Is that ‘Subscriber’ role the built-in one?
I’m not quite sure if it’s possible to change the role of somebody who RSVPs or purchases a ticket. I will need to check that.
What you can possibly do is install a user role manager plugin and create a new role (possibly a duplicate of subscriber) and name is somehow differently, and assign that user role to the subscription subscriber.
if someone purchases tickets for multiple people, does everyone they purchased a ticket for then get emailed their own ticket and get their own account, or is it just the purchaser
It is just the purchaser, s/he will get an email which contains all the tickets, so the tickets (and thus the submitted data) is connected to his/her purchase / account. No accounts will be created for the others, only the purchaser.
Do these answer your questions?

KeymasterHi khybrdigital,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
I see you have the most recent versions of our ticketing plugins. That’s great.
I also see that you probably are not using The Events Calendar – that is absolutely OK, ET and ET+ work without it, but this could be the reason why you see less / different options.
What options are you specifically looking for or missing?

KeymasterHello John,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m really sorry about this. That’s a bug we are aware of. A fix has been developed for this and currently it is waiting to go through testing. If it passes the test then the fix will ship hopefully next week in the maintenance release. Please hang in there.
The workaround until then is to set the sale end date possibly even further in the future. There is an error in how that is calculated.
Thanks for your patience!

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you with your questions.
I’ve tried to use Tribe Commerce but when I did the Tickets part has disappeared. Tickets are only show up when woocommerce is activated. I thought that with Tribe Commerce I could do without Woocommerce. Right or wrong?
That is right, you can use Tribe Commerce and you will not need WooCommerce.
However, at the moment it is not possible to transfer tickets from one provider to another. So if you have set up a ticket with WooCommerce, that will always be a WooCommerce ticket, you cannot change that to Tribe Commerce. You will need to create a new ticket for Tribe Commerce.
The change has some technical difficulties in the background, especially if you have already sold some tickets.
The ticket’s title are the same for all events, that means that I don’t have any clue which event the attendee selected.
I get what you mean. You might find this extension helpful in this case:
In the cart again, if I delete an event, I have Return to Shop button that takes me to a blank shop page.
This is part of WooCommerce. I believe this snippet can help you change that:

Let me know if you need more lights. 😉

KeymasterHi Lisa, thanks for reaching out!
That might be possible with some customization work.
The best approach probably would be to create a template override for this file:
wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php
There you would need to check for some criteria to decide what content you want to include in the email.
That could be baked in into the file or you could possibly use custom fields for the event and pull the content from there.
Please note that we are limited in supporting customizations. I can probably give you some further guidance on this, but you would need to tackle most of the coding.
If you would not take this on yourself, I can share with you a list of independent developers who could possibly help you out.
Let me know.

KeymasterThanks!
I don’t see the free Event Tickets plugin in the list, which is needed for Event Tickets Plus to work. (Please note, Event Tickets is different than The Events Calendar.)
Please download it from the WordPress.org repo (https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets/ ), activate it, and then you should be able to enter the license key for Event Tickets Plus as well.

KeymasterA team membress was kind enough to take a look at this.
Try this please and let us know if it does the trick:

KeymasterHey Joshua,
I’m really sorry about this and I understand your frustration. Handling that many events with tickets is definitely a time consuming job. Let’s see what we have and what we can do.
Tickets do not support recurring events in a way you would need them to. This functionality is on our long term roadmap. I would suggest you to cast your vote here to show your need / support for this.
Event duplication is also not a built-in feature, but for basic event data some third-party plugins (like the one you use) work well. It it different though when you have tickets included, because that means some extra metadata for the event as well, which shouldn’t be duplicated. To get a fix for this I would recommend you to reach out to the plugin developer with the issue so they can provide a fix. You can send them the link which I shared with you above which gives an idea of the issue.
So what can you do to make this easier?
If you would like separate tickets for all the events, then you cannot use recurring events. You will either need to break those recurring events apart, then create tickets for them separately. This is pretty time consuming.
You can use the CSV import functionality of the plugin. You can import Organizers, then Venues, then Events, then tickets. (Importing tickets only works if you are using WooCommerce, but I see you are.)
The drawback if the imports is that it does not support shared capacity / stock, only separate capacity for each of the tickets.
In this article you will find more information about the CSV imports:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/csv-files-options-and-examples/
One other, less recommended option is duplicating as before, but make sure that either you don’t have sales on the source event yet OR that you manually set the ‘_tribe_progressive_ticket_current_number’ to zero in the database for the duplicate. I haven’t tested this solution, but in theory it should work.
Let me know if this helps somewhat.
Cheers,

KeymasterDo you mean what happens if you set up RSVPs instead of the tickets?
That is possible, RSVPs behave basically as tickets, with the difference that you cannot charge money for RSVPs.
Does that answer your question?

Andras
KeymasterNow I did, thanks!
It looks like that you do not have the Event Tickets Plus plugin activated. Note: for Event Tickets Plus you will also need the free Event Tickets plugin.
Once you have both installed and activated you will see another license key field with Event Tickets Plus written above it. Something like this: https://cloudup.com/cHYUAUmcvIY
Let me know how that plays out.

KeymasterHey Michael,
If it is the bug I suspect it is, that is scheduled to be released sometime next week.

KeymasterHey Toddl,
What you have described above can be created with recurring events and daily or custom recurrence rules. Here’s a screenshot on the daily: https://cloudup.com/cri9nOkG-QD
Unfortunately we cannot take on customization requests and development projects of this kind. Our agency teams can be hired for website development projects, but the budget for those start in the $20.000 range.
If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there. If enough people give their votes to this, then we will definitely consider building this in as an option.
If you need a faster resolution, then I can share with you this list of independent developers, who are not affiliated with us and could help you out with this project.
Thanks for your understanding. Let me know if you have further questions.
Cheers,
