Great to here the license key issue got solved.

Regarding the import, since it is undefined it is difficult to say what the issue could be.

If you can share with me the feed / URL you had an issue importing, then I can run some tests with it and see if we can find something.

    Cheers,

    Hey Kris,

I’m happy to further help you with this issue.

Thank you for testing it with the new site! It shows that likely there is no issue with the plugin, but there might be something off with one of the events.

If you can share with me the file / set that you imported, then I could run some tests locally to try to narrow it down to the event in questions and the issue.

Please also let me know the details of how you ran the import procedure. If you are not comfortable sharing it publicly, then you can set it as a private reply, then it will be visible only to our support team.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hey Jonny, that is great news! I’m happy you managed to track down the issue. Awesome job on that!

Could you share in a reply which plugin / script was causing the issue? It might help other users who have similar issues and will definitely help us helping them out.

    Thanks and cheers,

    Hi again,

I will check with my colleagues if there can be anything done from our side, but likely it is a conflict with BuddyPress, as you have narrowed it down. I would recommend getting in touch with them as well and see if they need to fix something.

I’ll be in touch when I have some more info. Meanwhile let me know if you have something from them.

    Hey Bruce,

    Thanks for chiming in!

Yes that is definitely a good solution. Note however that the data can likely be still picked up by search engines / crawlers and the code will still be visible in the code. If you don’t mind that, it is an absolutely valid solution.

Another note on that, if you had some lists visible, which are now not showing due to that change in setting, that code will not make it visible. 🙂

We have put this on our known issues page with a more streamlined query.

    Cheers,

    Hello again Rob,

Phew, not sure we ever faced a scenario like that. There are 2 possibilities that I can quickly think of.

After you changed the event details you will need to go to your WooCommerce orders and go to every order one-by-one and resend the tickets. You can find this in the Order Actions box, looks like this. This is a bit cumbersome, especially with so many tickets and orders.

The other less cumbersome option would be with the use of this extension, which adds the event (and attendee) details in the WooCommerce emails. Once the extension is in place and set up go to your WooCommerce orders, select the affected orders and bulk change their status to something else then completed. Then again select them and bulk change to completed. This will sent out the completed order emails to the users, which should now contain the event information.

An extra note, if you change the event details the QR codes will not be changed. The only change if you create a new ticket or a new event or a new purchase.

I hope this will help. And let me know if you have any more questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hey Montgomery,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

I’m sorry you are having this issue with the tickets. Let me help you fix that.

For ticket sales to work you need to have at least the following plugins activated:

    • The Events Calendar
    • Event Tickets
    • Event Tickets Plus
    • WooCommerce

You say you tested it and worked. What did you do since that point in time that could have broken it?

Basically as I see the ticket fields are missing for the events. That can happen if:

    – there are no tickets set up for the events

    – the tickets have a sale period set up which didn’t start yet

    – a custom code removes the ticket fields

The first 2 are easy to check, just look at an event if it has tickets set up and if the tickets are already on sale.

The third one you can check if you go through our conflict testing guide.

Let me know what you find.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hallo erneut Marcus,

Unfortunately there is no specific built-in function for this, but I have some ideas on how you could solve it.

    1. You can use the Advanced Fields that come with EC PRO and the information would show up with the event details.

    2. You can use custom fields and create a template override for whichever view you need it and pull the custom field data from the database.

    3. You can use the categories or tags if you want and likely do a template override so they show up at the appropriate places.

I hope this will help you get started.

    Grüsse

    Hello Michael,

Thanks for getting in touch and I’m really sorry about this licensing glitch.

I checked your account, you have 2 Event Aggregator licenses, one of which is expired. (The notice might be for this.) The other is valid for almost another year. As a first please make sure that you have the valid license entered on your site. (I’m sorry if this is what you already referred to above. It wasn’t fully clear for me whether you see that under Events > Settings > Licenses or on theeventscalendar.com in your account.)

Enter the key, wait for the green validation message to appear, then hit save. Hitting save before the validation is done will not save your license key.

Please also check your Event Aggregator System Status under Events > Help. (Should look something like this.)

Also we have received reports of this issue from our users. While you check if you have the correct license key I will check for a status update on this issue.

    Cheers,

    Hello Daniel,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

I’m sorry about your issue with Event Aggregator. Let me try to help you with that.

If I understand correctly, you have 3 sites setup up in the same multi-site environment.

Facebook started now working on one, but 2 are still stuck.

What you can try to do is remove the authorization of Event Aggregator from Facebook for all 2 sites. Then re-authorize them one-by-one and see if that solves it.

Let me know how that works out.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Jonny,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

I’m happy to help you out with your issue.

Please note that based on our support policy we promise an answer to every post within 24-48 hours during the working week. We don’t work over the weekends.

I’m sorry about this issue with Event Aggregator and importing from Facebook. I have checked on my test site with the latest version and everything works fine. When I select Facebook from the dropdown, then the second selector appears with the import type.

I have generated a new license key for you to try. It is valid during this week. Give it a try. If it works, we can exchange your license keys. However, I believe the issue is different.

If you don’t have a license key or it is expired, then you wouldn’t even be able to select “Facebook” from the dropdown.

There are 2 more things you can test, after doing a full backup of your files and database:

    1. roll back to an earlier version of the plugin and check if importing works there. Then update again and check.

    2. Run a test for conflicts based on this guide.

Let me know what you find. I’m looking forward to helping you solve this.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Salut Yves et bienvenue!

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

Don’t worry, your English is good. Likely better than my French. 🙂

I checked your site and I see your issue. Let’s see what can be done.

As a first test, could you switch to a default theme like twentyseventeen and check if the issue still exists with that?

If the issue still exists, then please go through our guide on testing for conflicts.

Thanks and let me know what you find.

I checked the demo site of Eventica with The Events Calendar.

There they are running older versions: TEC 4.3.3 and ECPRO 4.2.4

Quite a number of things have changed since then so likely the theme hasn’t been updated to work with the newest versions. In this case I would recommend you to get in touch with the theme authors and check with them if they can do an update.

Still, if you can share with me folders and database, then I can investigate further, though likely this is the issue.

    Hello Gregg,

Sorry for the radio silence, I was limited to do some travels.

I’m happy to hear Patricia was able to give you a solution. Awesome!

By the display issue I guess you mean the event list getting all jumbled with an update. Not exactly sure why this is happening. It might have something to do with the theme, it maybe is not adjusted for the latest version of our plugins, but not sure.

I can run some test and investigate the issue deeper if you can share with me your themes and plugins folder and a database dump, so I can set it up locally. Could you zip those up and share them via some cloud service?

    Andras
