    Hi Sadie,

Thanks for reaching out. I will try to help with your questions.

    1) It is indeed possible to have a “free” ticket that is not an RSVP and shares stock with other tickets.
    2) Our plugins do not have any support for coupon codes. You would need to handle this through WooCommerce.
    3) There is a setting that determines whether someone needs to be logged in or not in order to RSVP to an event. Out of the box, it’s not necessarily “secret.” It will show on the event page with a message “Log in to RSVP”. It would be possible to completely hide this unless the user was logged in, but it would take some customization of the PHP templates for the events.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have additional questions about this.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Ian,

Unfortunately, this is not something our plugin can do. Sorry!

    Hi Jesse,

The name and contents of this email can be changed, but it requires some custom php. This code will depend on which ecommerce plugin you are using to handle ticket sales, or if an RSVP.

Please note that we generally don’t handle support questions here in the Pre Sales forum. If you need help with any of our free products, you can reach out on the WordPress.org support forums.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Community Events submission form. I will try to help you get this sorted.

When visiting your site, I am not seeing the issue with the description. The formatting options display, and the text is a visible color. I see that in your second screenshot, it also appears to be displaying properly. I checked this in Chrome/FF/Safari on a Mac, and it was the same for all browsers.

Can you tell me which browser and operating system you are viewing the non-working page with?

For the datepicker, it seems that your theme is adding a really high z-index on the main content area. To override this, you can add this CSS snippet:

    .tribe-ui-datepicker { z-index: 2000; }

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I will try to help with your question.

Where are you wanting to see the image for the ticket display? Within the ticket settings, you can select an image that will show with the tickets in the email. On the Event itself, you can select a featured image that will show on the single event page and within some views on the main calendar.

Any images added to the WooCommerce product associated with the ticket will only show within WooCommerce generated product pages.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have additional questions about this.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

That element is used on multiple templates, sometimes more than once on the page. Could you be more specific? Are you wanting to add content to the main calendar page or the single event page? If the main calendar page, which view(s) do you want the content to show on? ie, “month” “list” etc.

    Thanks,
    Sky

in reply to: dequeue styles broken after 4.6.21 release #1593205

    Hi Ryan,

I looked into this a bit more, and it seems that what may be happening is that the styles you are trying to remove are listed as dependencies of another asset. You would need to find out what is requiring those stylesheets and dequeue it as well.

Or, re – enqueue the styles that are missing once you deregister.

I just tried the dequeue assets extension, and it seems to be broken after these changes. Hopefully, we can get that working again, and you’ll be able to use it instead of having to do this manually.

I’m going to create a bug ticket for the extension, and attach this thread to it. Someone will follow up here with you once this has been fixed to let you know.

In the meantime, I’ll see if there is another way to dequeue the specific files you have in your snippet. Do you know if there are more styles you need besides the datepicker and jquery styles?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.

It is indeed possible to add content within the calendar output. All of our plugins use a templating system that makes it easy to customize specific views. To create a custom template, you simply copy the original template file from the plugin into your child theme in a “tribe-events” folder, and the custom template will be used in place of the original.

You can find out more information about this process here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

We also use WordPress hooks and filters extensively throughout the templates, so it may also be possible to add content from your functions.php file.

If you can provide a detailed description and/or a screenshot of where you would like to add your custom content, I will help you figure out which template or hook you need to accomplish it.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your questions.

For migrating the tickets and attendees you can follow the process outlined here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-wordpress-export-tools-to-migrate-events-content/

I believe you should import the tickets first, then the attendees. Be sure to choose the post type for the specific type of tickets you have. There are separate ticket post types depending on your ecommerce plugin.

If you are moving to a new domain, you will need to remove the old domain by visiting your account license keys page before entering the license in the new site: https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/

There will be a “disconnect” link next to each URL the plugin is authorized on.

Once you have disconnected your old site, just reinstall the plugins on the new site, and enter your license keys in the Events > Settings > Licenses tab, and save.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

You certainly could modify the widget shortcode. But would it not be easier to just use the tribe_events shortcode with “list” view instead? This already shows the featured image. Are you wanting to keep the calendar icon?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

Awesome! So glad that solved your problem.

It looks like this issue may have been solved in a recent update. If you update all of our plugins to the latest versions, you may not need this snippet anymore.

Thanks, and please let us know if you have any questions or issues in the future.

    Hi again,

Please note that we are limited in the amount of support we can provide for customizations such as this. That being said, you might check out this thread where another user asked a similar question: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/woo-event-ticket-cart-separate-tickets-show-attendee-meta/

in reply to: How to auto import event costs from Meetup.com #1592911

    Hi again,

I’m sure what the technical reason is for not being able to import that information from Meetup.

I do know that when using Event Ticket Plus, the event’s cost field is no longer available, as this information is connected to the tickets and not the event itself.

Sorry I don’t have a more concise answer for you about why this is. I did create a test meetup event to verify this, but it does not pull the cost information in, as I thought. Feel free to visit our User Voice forum and suggest this as a feature.

    Thanks,

    Hi again,

Thanks for sharing that information. It seems to be detecting that address ok without enabling the Latitude and Longitude for me.

Can you explain in more detail what issues you experience before enabling Latitude and Longitude? Are you able to see the map at all on the Venue page or the Events page? What displays there? If you open the browser tools and look at the console, are there any map specific errors showing?

    Thanks,
    Sky
