MemberHi guys: just a heads up that 1.0.1.1, which should fix the broader (non-permalink specific) issue, has been released today: https://theeventscalendar.com/release-community-events-1-0-1-1/. It seems to resolve the bug on our end…but please give the update a shot and let us know if you’re still having issues with this. Thanks to everyone for their patience so far.

MemberHi Gabriel. The easiest way to reset it would be to return the slugs to /events and /event, respectively. I would however be interested in seeing what happens if you set the default view (under Settings -> The Events Calendar) to “list”, instead of grid/calendar. Does the same problem occur?
If you find the issue is still happening with the slugs returned to their original form, please let me know. Please also let me know if the behavior changes whether or not you have your site’s language (in wp-config) set to es_ES. I will continue working to get this resolved from there.

MemberThanks Mark! This is a known issue that was just introduced with the WordPress 3.4 upgrade, but we’ve patched it and are QAing that patch now. A 1.0.1.1 fix will be deployed today – at which point we’ll announce it here on the forum. Upon updating your users should once again be able to access their Events list, so long as your site isn’t running a /%category%/ permalink structure (as that bug will be fixed in the 1.0.2 monthly maintenance release, which should come at the start of July).
Apologies for the inconvenience until then. Please let me know if upon updating you are still having problems and we can try to troubleshoot from there.

MemberHey there Michelle. Thanks for the heads up. Are you in a position where you can test on the 2011 theme? We stopped supporting and testing on 2010 after 2011 had been out a few months, and when I use Firefox on my end the visual editor box (and HTML tab) both appear fine:
* Visual editor: http://d.pr/i/MHbB
* HTML: http://d.pr/i/jgxHAm I doing something different than you are, or have I misunderstood the issue here?

MemberHey again Mike, thanks for the follow-ups here and my apologies for taking a few days to get you a response on my end. Have you switched away from the calendar solution or found a way to make this work? When I hit the link you provided earlier it doesn’t yield anything.
Let me know if you’re still having problems and I can try to get a dev to take a look this afternoon.
Rob
MemberGlad to hear that did the trick, Jesse. Let us know what else we can do down the road.
Rob
MemberHey, sorry that this one slipped through the cracks Jesse – been a bit slammed on the support end so my apologies there. I’m understanding the goal of what you want here but it is indeed a bit outside my area of expertise. Let’s see if Jonah has any ideas.
Would be interested to hear if you had any success with the Additional Fields, in the interim…
Rob
MemberThanks for the follow-up, Marc. I believe that at least a few of those strings Berndt notes are actually carried over from The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO, which is why they aren’t translatable within Community itself. Could that be the issue here?
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear you got this figured out, Mike. If you need anything else on this end or as you continue using the plugin please let us know. Thanks for your support so far.
Rob
MemberSorry about that, Michelle – we’ve been having some issues with the email notifications that we’re working to fix now. Feel free to send over your credentials to pro /a/ tri.be, with a link to this thread as a frame of reference, and Jonah can take a look from there.
Rob
MemberThanks for the notes, guys, and for your patience in bearing with us as we work to figure this out. As Jesse’s note indicated, the update to WordPress 3.4 introduced a bug in 1.0.1 that causes anyone attempting to view “My Events” to land on that WP Router placeholder page instead. We’re deploying 1.0.1.1 today to fix this and so you should be all set on that end, once the update is pushed.
As Jim mentioned, the less-widespread issue that initially caused this is also in the works and will be included in next month’s (1.0.2) monthly maintenance release.

MemberHey Craig! No worries, I’ve also been pulled away from the forums due to some support emergencies elsewhere…so I’m a bit behind in getting responses here too.
So if I understand correctly, what you’re trying to do is extend the search functionality to account for these auditions your community members are submitting. This should be doable but how and when is the wild card. Our officially-supported tool for this is in the works and should be released as an included with PRO over the next couple months, and will allow for advanced search features delving deeper than what basic WP can offer.
In the interim, though, I see there are a number of third-party plugins that could ease with this and are available for free. The most promising of those seems to be http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-everything/ – have you checked that out? I haven’t tested it myself, but it’s done by Dan Cameron…who has worked with us on a few projects before and from what I’ve seen is a solid dev. Would a plugin like that meet your needs?
