MemberThanks. What’s your email address? I’ll send you the newest code directly so you can test it out. First though: do you have a testing environment set up where we can try a few things? We’re going to want to revert to the default 2011 theme and deactivate your other plugins as needed, to see if this is a conflict…as I mentioned I can’t recreate this on my default 2011 theme so I’m thinking that’s the solution.

MemberThanks Jonah! Sandy, let us know if you need anything else.
Rob
MemberHmm. Thanks for reporting this, Julien – not sure what the implications of this may be but it seems worth looking into. I’ll get Jonah to check it out & chime in directly.
Rob
MemberReceived! You’ve been added to the VIP (beta) list and I’ll be in touch once I have the code. Thanks!
Rob
MemberPerfect. If anything else comes up that you wonder the status on, just hit me up and I’ll give you the status.

MemberHey Mohammad. The time settings you configure under Settings –> General should cover this plugin, along with the rest of your WP install…so if you’ve set it there it should carry over to your events list. Let me know if that’s not the case.
Noble Sprayberry: events themselves are searchable, yes, using the broader search capability built into WP. Searching any of the custom details (location, organizer, etc) would require some customization on your end and is not a feature available straight out of the box.

MemberThanks Andre. What version of the plugin are you using? We had some issues with this in 2.0 but they should have been fixed in 2.0.1; I just tested that same criteria on my default 2011 install (running the latest code) and it worked without issue. Any chance you’re still on 2.0? Let me know if not; would probably be wise to upgrade to 2.0.1. If you’re on 2.0.1 drop me a note to that effect here in the forum and I’ll get you the current code base – technically somewhere between 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 – and we can go from there.

MemberAs it stands, there’s no easy way to do this that doesn’t require some custom hackery. You can use the advanced list widget as an admin to filter down to specific categories; but that hasn’t come on the frontend (yet). It is on our broader roadmap though so it’ll be making an appearance sooner or later. Sorry I couldn’t offer something more substantive in the short term.

MemberIf you send me an email (rob at tri.be) I’ll add you to the list of beta testers, so you can be the first to play with the code once it’s ready.
Rob
MemberCool! Very slick. I could see something like this being very helpful. Adding it to the 2.1 pile now – thanks Christina!

MemberHey again Bob. We’re attempting to test against Headway but are realizing it’s a premium theme; any chance you’d be able to hook us up with a copy for local testing? It will all be done locally so of course nothing will be live on the Internet…but we’re going to need to get our hands on it to try and resolve this issue. Thanks!
Rob
MemberThanks Kelly. I’m going to get our developer Jonah to take a look here; this may well just be a byproduct of the Typepad –> WP switch, since that wasn’t a scenario we tested against in QA, but there may be a solution that someone more dev-minded than myself can bring about.
Rob
MemberHey Douglas. My guess here is that this has to do with your permalinks settings; if you’re using the default permalinks it might not take effect until you turn on pretty permalinks. Try for example with a URL structure like %postname%; the slug fields on your settings page should appear accordingly.
Hope this helps. Let me know if that doesn’t do the trick and I can keep looking into this for you.
Rob
MemberCool – have you checked out the walkthrough Jonah did on how to customize the widget (https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/)? May help accomplish what you’re going for.

MemberAlright thanks. Let me see if our developer Jonah has any suggestions here. Not sure what would be causing that myself.
