MemberHi Cynthia. We would definitely be happy to help you out here. I’m not sure I would be best equipped to handle the ramifications of this but hopefully our dev Jonah can. I’ve asked him to chime in directly here.

MemberHi Nick. Thanks for the note here and sorry that it took a couple of days to respond here…somehow this one slipped through the cracks when we hit the forum yesterday. While this is outside my realm of expertise I can certainly get our dev Jonah to take a look and see what he can offer up when he hits the forum this afternoon. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberHey Luke. Sorry that this one slipped through the cracks. I’m not sure how to address this but I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look and chime in with what he can this afternoon.

MemberHey Schmidtysays. Thanks for the heads up here; this was an issue in an earlier build but should have been resolved with the jump to 2.0.3. Can you confirm that you’re running 2.0.3 for both The Events Calendar and PRO? Also, what theme are you on?
Let me know about this and I can keep trying to troubleshoot from there.
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Marc. As I mentioned via email – but want to get logged here too – it’s a bummer to hear that there is some sort of conflict. If you’re able to identify what it is conflicting we’ll do what we can to test against that for smoother integration in the 2.1 release…

MemberSounds good. If anyone else is having issues and wants to give the newer code a shot too, do let me know.

MemberHi Ken. I talked this over with the dev team today and this is no trivial task; it’d take us a while to dig in and figure out what has to be done here. You’re going to end up having a lot of forums if you’re putting a specific one for each event though…
Unfortunately this isn’t something we can provide much guidance on due to the level of customization required. That being said it’s possible some other users on the forums here (or at the WordPress.org forums) may have a solution or suggestion along these lines so they’re welcome to chime in. Sorry we couldn’t offer up more in an official capacity, though, Ken.

MemberGreat work, Adam – these both look so nice, and the Youth Cartel site in particular stands out as one of the slickest endeavors in professional minimalism I’ve seen in a while. Thanks for sharing them both.
Rob
MemberThanks for the ideas, Lynne. Were these meant as feature requests, or as actual tutorials/hacks?
Rob
MemberKristel/Robert: The map item is definitely in our broader plans. Not sure how quickly we’ll be integrating it, but we used to maintain a WP Geo Tagger PRO plugin that has since been outdated…but the eventual idea is to bring that back, build it up and then make it integrate with the calendar. Unfortunately no idea as to timetable on that at this point though.
Julien: The idea with the venue page is that we don’t want it to show past events as they could start to clutter it up. Let me know if you feel differently, but the idea is to show people what’s coming up at a venue. Do you think your users would benefit from the other way around? Let me know and I’ll kick it around with the team.
Adam: Thanks for the words man. I definitely agree on the flexibility you’re requesting re: idea 1, and I’m hoping the new templating approach we introduce in 2.1 will work well in achieving that. Colored categories are a solid feature. We prepared that tutorial on how to do it a while back which generated a solid response, and if there is enough demand here it could certainly be worked into the code at some point as well.
Jen: For your first request, you’re saying just to have an event that’s technically broken out of the pattern still appear in the broader pattern if somebody elects to view the entire recurrence…right? Just want to make sure 🙂
Rob
MemberThanks Sam. I’ve confirmed this is a bug on my end too; appreciate you pointing it out. We’ll get that patched up for 2.1.
Rob
MemberHey Mike. Followed up via email on this a little while back.
Rob
MemberHi Pam. Unfortunately the only real way we can fully test this is on a local environment with the plugin. I would be surprised if Wishlist were willing to give a temp key but if you can point me to who you’re working with on the forums there I can try to email them directly about it. Otherwise it seems like unfortunately another Events plugin, one that doesn’t have this conflict, may be the best route.
Apologies we couldn’t help you out more there…if you feel a refund is appropriate, shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) and I can take care of that for you.
January 30, 2012 at 6:48 pm in reply to: How to delete a single event in a series of reoccurring events #14405Rob
MemberHi Cam. What version of the plugin are you running – can you confirm that you’re on 2.0.3 for both Events Calendar + PRO? There was an issue related to this in earlier releases but it should have been fixed in 2.0.3 and I just was able to confirm this in my test environment. Whether you’re deleting from the broader list or from within the event listing, a pop-up should appear asking whether you want to delete just this sole event or the entire series. Are you not seeing that at all?
Rob
MemberHi there Perry. This should be doable, but I’m not sure how. Let me see if our dev Jonah can suggest something.
