MemberHi Dawn. We do have a CSV-based event importer currently in beta stages that I’d be happy to let you try out (if you were willing to provide some feedback as to your experience). Shoot me an email – rob at tri.be – if you’re interested.
Rob
MemberAh perfect…glad to hear you got this taken care of. Let me know if you have any other questions in the future.

MemberThanks Frank. I’ll take a look over there and respond accordingly.
Rob
MemberAlright, thanks for confirming. I’ll get Jonah to take a look this afternoon.
Rob
MemberAlright. I’ll see in Jonah has a tip on that one this afternoon.
January 30, 2012 at 4:41 pm in reply to: Select multiple categories in upcoming events widget #14397Rob
MemberHey there Mike. This is one we’ve had a ticket open over for quite a while. It’ll be included in a future release (somewhere in the 2.1 life cycle). In the interim, have you checked the blog post Jonah put together about how to fully customize the widgets (https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/)? Does that point you in the right direction? Let me know if you’re looking for something more specific.
Rob
MemberHi Suzanne. Thanks for the note here. We’ve had a few reports along these lines but usually they were either related to a previous build or a specific theme. Can you confirm that you’re running 2.0.3 for both The Events Calendar AND Events Calendar PRO, and the name of your theme?
Thanks in advance. I can try to troubleshoot this with you from there.
Rob
MemberHi Lynne. The custom field should be added automatically if you’ve configured it appropriately under Settings -> The Events Calendar. Have you tried that?
On the venue aspect: are you saying you want to have the event tied to a venue, but not have that venue data appear anywhere within the single entry? If you just wanted an event without a venue, not assigning a venue should cause the “Venue” meta box to disappear upon publication.
January 30, 2012 at 7:53 am in reply to: Change date format to remove year and put date on one line and time on 2nd line #14371Rob
MemberHi again Lynne. Have you played around with the different time/date settings under Settings -> General? Unless I’m misunderstanding the request here, date & time settings for the overall WP install should carry over to the calendar too.
Rob
MemberHi there Lynne. At this point, we’re limited to day/month appearance with the grid view. You could probably generate what you’re looking for using either template tags or the list/widget, but at this point it’s not possible in the grid. That being said we’ve had a number of requests for this (you should throw one in for it too, if you’re interested, at this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/) and will likely be including it in 2.1 or a subsequent release. Sorry I couldn’t offer up anything more substantive in the short term.
Let me know if you have any other questions along these lines.

January 30, 2012 at 7:49 am in reply to: Events listed by Venue displaying all events not just future events. #14367Rob
MemberOur pleasure, Jason – thanks for your feedback on all this stuff so far. Do let us know if anything else comes up down the road.
Rob
MemberHi Julien. Those links should be directing users to the next event happening (by date) and the previous event. Are you seeing something different? If so, can we have a link to check it out on your site?
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear. Thanks for confirming, Julien.
January 30, 2012 at 7:47 am in reply to: Updating Button keeps spinning… not new publishing either #14364Rob
MemberHi Christina. Weird that the pop-up isn’t appearing on your end, as I’m unable to recreate that issue on any browser. However at this point the best fix seems to be either that which has been described earlier on in the thread, or by testing out the new 2.1 beta code to see if it does the trick. Feel free to email me (rob at tri.be) if you’re interested in the latter.
