Rob
MemberHi there Ashley. Thanks for the note. While this will be made easier with the templating changes we’re planning for 2.1, right now this solution looks like it’d be best: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/title-of-events-calendar-of-events-for-eventsupcoming/. Let me know if that won’t work for you or if I’ve misunderstood the request here and I can update my response as needed.
Rob
MemberHey David. While only one installation of the plugin is allowed per site, you can definitely finagle what you’re seeking here by use of categories (as you’ve suggested). That’d probably be the easiest method; but if that’s too straightforward, have you checked out our Documentation page (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/) to see if the use of template tags could assist?
Let me know if you’re looking for something more and I can follow-up as needed.
Rob
MemberThat’s very bizarre, EMRL – sorry to hear you’re having issues. It’s very possible that this is a conflict with another plugin or your theme; are you in a position where you can test deactivation of those to see if a resolution is reached? Another suggestion that often works for situations like this is to resave the permalinks page (no change needed; just resave). Let me know about those points and we can keep looking into this as needed.

MemberHey schmitdysays: up until this point the majority of conflicts we’ve heard of on this particular issue have been theme related (specifically Headway), but an SEO-related plugin could also certainly be the culprit. Are you in a position where you can test deactivation of that to see if the issue persists on the calendar side?
Rob
MemberLynne: thanks for the vote. We’ve got an open issue for this so it’ll be included somewhere in the 2.1 lifecycle (though when has yet to be determined). Keep the ideas coming!
Rob
MemberAlright thanks. I know the dev who built this is out dealing with a family emergency this week so it won’t be immediate, but I’ll bring this back to his attention once he returns. Appreciate the heads up.
Rob
MemberHi Jeffrey. One thing I’d check out here is whether you have a pretty permalink structure enabled (ie /%postname%/). You need to have that on for the “slug” field to appear on Settings -> The Events Calendar. Can you give that a go, then follow the steps I’d initially outlined in our email? Thanks!

MemberThis is a good question, Diego. Thanks for the heads up – let me get Jonah to take a look and see what he can identify here. If this is indeed a bug we’ll get it patched for 2.1 and try to offer you up some solution in the short-term.
Rob
MemberHi Jen. Thanks for the note. At this point those controls only carry over so far as the event itself; the venue page is fixed as of current. This will likely change sometime in the 2.1 life cycle though – as you’re probably aware a good way to move its inclusion to sooner rather than later would be to vote for it at the “Feature Requests” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/).
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here in the short term. Let me know what else we can do.
Rob
MemberHi there Shawn. There hasn’t been a new release of the plugin since 2.0.3, so my guess is that if something has changed without you needing to update the plugin it was caused by either your theme or another plugin that you’ve got active. To confirm this, I just created a new event in the 2.0.3 code base and it showed up as is intended – entering “0” resulted in free.
What has changed with regards to your site since first installing? Have you updated this plugin or any others, or maybe altered the theme a bit?
Rob
MemberHey Michael. Thanks for the note. Not at this point, but we are definitely planning on including something like this in the plugin’s 2.1 lifecycle based on how much user demand there is for it. Feel free to throw your vote for this functionality into our “Feature Requests” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/), which we’re using as the basis for determining what features are included in what future releases.
Sorry I couldn’t offer up anything more substantive in the short term. I will also say that if you haven’t checked it out yet, Jonah’s walkthrough on how to fully customize widgets may at least give you some ideas: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/.
Rob
MemberHey Tim: you’re still getting this issue even after downloading the newer code? Let me know…it’ll be fixed in 2.1 if not sooner, but if I can get some more from you here it’ll likely be sooner rather than later.
January 31, 2012 at 11:01 am in reply to: Add custom field to meta list on right in list view #14463Rob
MemberAh, so you want that additional meta data to appear in list view. Got it. Does Jonah’s suggestion in this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/displaying-custom-field-attributes-on-frontend-in-custom-template-file/page/2/#post-13807) get you what you need along those lines, or at least push you in the right direction? Let me know if not and I can get Jonah to take a look here directly.
Rob
MemberHey Timothy, thanks for pointing this out. That’s very odd – we’re running tri.be on Dreamhost and we have the calendar active here without issue. Maybe a fresh install would do the trick? Are both PRO and free giving you problems, or just the PRO add-on?

MemberHi Andy. Thanks for reaching out here, and sorry that it took us a couple days to address this…somehow your post slipped through the cracks when we did our forum rounds yesterday. This is an interesting request that is a bit outside my area of expertise, but hopefully our dev Jonah would be able to respond. I’ve asked him to chime in directly this afternoon.
