April 12, 2017 at 2:50 pm in reply to: The latitude and longitude for your venue could not be fetched. The Google Maps #1269163
Caroline
MemberHi there,
Thanks for reaching out–so sorry to hear that you’re having some issues with your Google Maps here! This type of error most commonly occurs when a Google Maps API key has not been entered in the plugin settings, as the absence of a unique key greatly limits the number of queries that can be processed on your site. Can you confirm that you’ve created a unique Google Maps API key and entered it into the appropriate fields under the APIs tab in your plugin settings? Let us know what you’re able to find out after taking a look!
Thank you!

MemberHi Adam,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m afraid that the ability to show a list of attendees on your event pages is a feature that is only available with Event Tickets Plus. After adding Event Tickets Plus to your existing site, you’ll have the ability to toggle this display on and off for each of your events, and this feature will work for both RSVP and paid ticket types.
I hope that helps to clear things up a bit! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!
April 12, 2017 at 2:34 pm in reply to: Community event submit form: Page width not used fully #1269156Caroline
MemberHi Oliver,
Thanks for taking the time to report this issue to us! We are aware of some display issues with Community Events submission forms when using certain themes with “Default Page Template” selected under Events template in your plugin’s Display settings. For now, selecting “Default Events Template” is the best way to ensure that your event submission forms look as good as possible at all resolutions! I’ll be sure to add this thread to our existing bug ticket for this issue so that we can follow up directly once a fix is available. 🙂
Thanks again for reaching out, and let us know if there’s anything else that we can assist you with here!

MemberHi Daniel,
Thanks for reaching out! This type of issue most commonly occurs when there are discrepancies between the site-wide timezone specified in your WordPress settings and the timezone specified for your events. Can you please confirm that the timezone for your site is set correctly and then double-check your plugin timezone settings? You can find more information on working with timezones in The Events Calendar here on our Knowledgebase. Give it a quick check and let us know if your issues still persist after verifying these settings!
Thank you!

MemberHi all,
Thanks for getting in touch, and @brightestspark, thanks so much for taking the time to weigh in here! We’re still making steady progress on this bug, but unfortunately we’re not able to provide a concrete timeline yet for when a fix might be ready. Remaining at version 4.3.x is the best way to ensure that this issue doesn’t affect your recurring events until an official fix is available. I’ll go ahead and add this thread to our bug ticket to ensure that we follow up with you directly as soon as this problem is addressed in a future maintenance release.
Thanks for your patience as we continue to work on this issue, and please don’t hesitate to reach out again if there’s anything else that we can do for you!

MemberHi Fabrice,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! I’d be more than glad to troubleshoot this with you to see if we can figure out what’s happening.
It appears as though you do have some plugins installed that could be potentially conflicting with The Events Calendar, so I’d like to try a round of conflict testing first to rule out any issues there. Would you mind taking a few minutes to run through our conflict testing steps as outlined in this guide and report back on your findings?
Thanks, and let us know what you’re able to find out!
April 12, 2017 at 1:35 pm in reply to: How to edit event ticket page and event category page?? #1269122Caroline
MemberHi Zahid,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out! Unfortunately, we’re not able to provide hands-on support with theme/template customizations such as these–I’m sorry to disappoint! You might consider having a look at our Events Calendar PRO plugin, which includes a Photo View that’s quite similar to your intended design here. Built-in views are easy to switch between and don’t require any custom coding for most themes, so they’re a great choice for users who want more styling options but don’t want to write custom code.
If Events Calendar PRO doesn’t look like the right fit for your needs, your best bet would likely be to have a developer customize your plugin templates to match your preferred design. We maintain a list of third-party developers who work with our plugins on this page–feel free to reach out to one of them with the details of your project!
I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again for getting in touch, and best of luck with your project!

MemberHi Jen,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out! We are still making progress on this bug and have moved the associated ticket to our highest priority after multiple user reports–we hope to have a fix for this issue available very shortly, though I’m afraid we’re unable to provide a more specific timeline than that. I’ll go ahead and add this thread to the ticket to ensure that we follow up with you directly as soon as a fix is available.
I hope that helps! Thanks so much for your patience as we continue to work on this problem, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if there’s anything else that we can assist you with!

MemberHi Richard,
Thanks for reaching out–I’d be more than glad to assist you with this! Just to confirm, which of our license tiers are you looking to renew at? We offer Personal, Business, Agency, and Unlimited tiers for Events Calendar PRO, and the process will vary depending on whether you’re upgrading or downgrading, so I want to make sure we’re processing your upgrade for the correct tier! Let us know what your preference is, and we’ll see where we can go from there.
Thank you! 🙂

MemberHi Adrian,
Thanks for getting in touch! By default, only administrators on your WordPress site will have access to event creation functionality, and there are no built-in options to enable email notification for new events. However, the third-party plugin Event Calendar Newsletter does provide this functionality by way of this tutorial–I’d suggest giving it a look over to see if this setup might meet your needs!
I hope that helps to give you some ideas here! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

MemberHi Pertti,
Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:
- If you’re using one or more of our free plugins such as The Events Calendar and Event Tickets, you can request assistance on the WordPress.org support forum for the affected product.
- If you’re a current license holder for one of our premium offerings, please log in to your account and submit a post to the appropriate forum for the affected product.
If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! 🙂
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

MemberHi Alistair,
Good question! Our location search doesn’t support this type of input by default–if you’d prefer to filter events using a dropdown menu selection, I’d suggest considering our Filter Bar plugin, which would allow you to filter by categories or tags assigned to your location-based events. Or, if you’d prefer, you can simply assign those categories to the appropriate events, then embed a calendar for each set of events on a separate page using our [tribe_events] shortcode. You can read more about how to use this shortcode to display a full calendar of filtered events on any post or page here on our Knowledgebase.
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Stefan,
Thanks for following up with some more information here! In this case, I’d suggest creating your date-less event as a page within WordPress (not a calendar event), then adding a link to this page on the list view template for the plugin. This type of functionality isn’t built into any of our products, so you’d need to handle this via template customizations–our Themer’s Guide is a great place to get started with modifying our plugins. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to write this code for you, but we’d be more than glad to point you in the right direction over on our premium support forums if you should have any questions as you’re working through it! 🙂
I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Marian,
So sorry for the confusion here! I provided a link to our conflict testing guide in my previous post–just in case it didn’t go through for you, here it is again!
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
These steps should coincide nicely with your planned audit of obsolete plugins! Feel free to give the event series another test after you’ve finished with these steps, and let us know what you’re able to find out! 🙂
April 11, 2017 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Display Event list by Category (i.e. different sports teams schedules) #1268642Caroline
MemberHi Mike,
Thanks for getting in touch–happy to hear that you’re considering our plugins for your site setup here! 🙂 It sounds like the [tribe_events] shortcode in Events Calendar PRO might be just what you’re looking for to display events filtered by category on certain site pages. This shortcode allows you to embed full calendar views (including list views) into any post, page, or custom post type, and you can set attributes to easily limit these views to specific events only. You can read more about this feature and how to use it on our Knowledgebase here.
I hope that helps! Thanks again for stopping by, and let me know if you should have any other questions!
