GuestHi
I am building an events page for a hotel company that has outlets in Brighton and Dublin, and they want two different calendars to display events for those two towns. With PRO is it possible to have a dropdown that will filter the calendar by location? Or to have two different calendar displays on different URLs?
Thanks

MemberHi Alistair,
Thanks for reaching out! We absolutely do support this type of filtering with Events Calendar PRO using our Location Search functionality, which taps into location data for venues to find events at or near a given location. Our live calendar demo on WP Shindig has this feature active if you’d like to take it for a spin–try searching for a major city such as London, England or Toronto, Canada to see what comes up!
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

GuestThanks. One thing though – rather than having to type the name of the city into the Location field in the filter bar, is it easily configurable to have them displayed as a dropdown?

MemberHi Alistair,
Good question! Our location search doesn’t support this type of input by default–if you’d prefer to filter events using a dropdown menu selection, I’d suggest considering our Filter Bar plugin, which would allow you to filter by categories or tags assigned to your location-based events. Or, if you’d prefer, you can simply assign those categories to the appropriate events, then embed a calendar for each set of events on a separate page using our [tribe_events] shortcode. You can read more about how to use this shortcode to display a full calendar of filtered events on any post or page here on our Knowledgebase.
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
