MemberHi Neal,
You’ll want to purchase a license for Event Tickets Plus. While we still have WooCommerce Tickets, we’ll be phasing it out- and Event Tickets Plus is where all updates, new plugin features, etc. will be happening. ET+ has all the features of WooCommerce Tickets, plus some new ones and new bug fixes. Event Tickets Plus is the way to go 🙂
Let me know if you have any other questions I can answer 🙂

MemberI’m glad to hear that clarified things! 🙂
The tickets do look more or less the same, although they now have QR codes (here’s a screenshot).
You can customize the wording and styles of the tickets, but it does take custom work (that is, there isn’t a built in customizer function for it). You’ll want to check out our Themer’s Guide for more details, and in particular the section on Event Tickets.
We can’t provide in-depth support on customizations, but if you get stuck feel free to start another thread and we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction!
Cheers,
Leah

MemberHi kerrycarron,
We definitely don’t want to feel stressed about this transition. I’ve gone ahead and shifted the expiration dates for both WooCommerce Tickets and Event Tickets Plus out another month. That way you have time to make your decision.
When I say sell tickets, I mean any time you want someone to register and pay you. If you are not collecting payments, you might consider the free plugin Event Tickets. But if you need to collect payment from people who are attending events, you’ll need to have Event Tickets Plus. Does that help clarify?

MemberHi Phil,
I don’t know of anyone doing that specifically, but someone has probably tried 🙂 You could try searching our PRO forum to see if someone posted about it- that might help point you in the right direction.
It’s possible that some kind of syncing is possible with some custom development. We don’t take on these kinds of projects ourselves, but we do have a list of folks who might be able to help out.

MemberHi Emily,
Thanks for your interest! I’d be happy to answer your questions.
1. Recurring events
Events Calendar PRO has excellent and very flexible recurring event functionality. If you want, you can read more about all the options in this support article.
2. RSVP for events (with name, phone, email)
The free RSVP functionality that comes with Event Tickets allows you to collect names and emails for attendees. Â If you need to collect phone numbers with the RSVP, you might be able to do it with some custom development. You could also consider doing free tickets with Event Tickets Plus, which allows you to collect more information.
Please note that at this time, RSVPs and tickets do not work with recurring events. We are hoping to extend that functionality in the future. That said, you could potentially work around this by making free tickets with ticket names that clearly tell users which date(s) they are registering for. The tickets can have defined purchase periods (so could end once that instance of the event had passed). But all tickets will show on all events in the series.
3. Ability to RSVP multiple people at once (example: a parent bringing several children to an event could RSVP all of them at once and fill in their names, instead of having to reload the page and RSVP each child individually.)
When a user RSVPs or buys tickets, they can select a number (e.g. 3 people coming or 3 tickets). However, only the name and information for that user is collected. We are working to extend this so that information can be collected for each ticket individually, but currently it’s not built in.
4. Ability to RSVP on a mobile device
Yes! All of our plugins are mobile friendly.
5. Editor functionality that does not require access to our entire WordPress site. We would like staff members to be able to add their own events, but not have the ability to go changing around our website! We do not need community-added events, only staff.
There’s a couple options for this. One is our Community Events plugin. You can set it up so that only logged-in site users can submit events (thus restricting it to your staff). They can then submit events from the front end of the site, without having any admin powers. Meanwhile, admins can approve and edit the submitted events as needed.
You can also use a user role plugin to define what kinds of event-related permissions users have. This would take some custom setup from you, but you could potentially arrange things so that staff members could make events but not see settings or other backend pieces of your site. Read more.
6. Ability to quickly email RSVP’d guests if an event is cancelled.
Yep! When viewing a list of attendees with Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus, you can click our handy Email button to get in touch with them.
Thanks again for your interest! Let us know if you have further questions.

In the past we have approved municipal organizations. Please fill out our application form and we’ll take a look!

MemberHi Kristen,
Yes, you can definitely use a Personal license! The license level names are just titles for the different types- not rules 🙂 Thanks for your support!

MemberHi Nick,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. You do not need to accept all orders manually. Orders are marked complete automatically when payment is received. For example, if someone pays by PayPal instantly, the order will be complete right away and they will get their tickets. If they pay online but not instantly (e.g. by a PayPal e-check or something else that takes processing time), the order will be marked complete once the payment comes through.
The only time you need to change an order status manually is if you set up your sales to accept offline payment options. In that case, once someone has paid offline (perhaps by mailing a check), you or another admin will need to move the order to complete.
If you don’t want to have to manually manage orders, that doable- you’ll just want to stick to using online payment systems that are available in the ecommerce plugin you choose.

MemberHi again Nickolas!
Events Calendar PRO has a Related Events feature, which displays similar events at the bottom of your event’s page. Related Events are on by default, and will prioritize displaying events that have the same category and/or tags as the main event page. Since you are doing various instances of the same event at different venues, I think Related Events will work well for your needs.

MemberHi Tommy,
Thanks for your note. There isn’t a built in way to duplicate events like this. However, since events are Custom Post Types, you can use a post duplicating plugin (like this one) to duplicate events.
We do have a Uservoice feature request thread going for people who want us to add event duplication as a feature. If you add your vote there, you’ll get updates if we decide to work on it for a future release.

MemberHi Mayur,
Thanks for your interest! There is no upsell feature built into the Event Tickets Plus plugin itself. However, I suspect  that some of the e-commerce solutions that run alongside it do have some kind of upsell feature, either included or as a paid extension.
For example, if you use WooCommerce then each ticket is also a WooCommerce Product. WooCommerce has many extensions available, and if they have one that allows you to upsell other products during check out, that could potentially be integrated with our ticketing plugin. Does that answer your question?

MemberHi Libby,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins! By default, events are displayed by date. Visitors can also search keywords, and with Events Calendar PRO they can search by location.
There is not a built-in way to prioritize events in the search results. That said, it might be possible with some custom development. We’ve seen users do custom featured event solutions before, although I can’t think of one that specifically handled prioritizing search results.
While we can’t provide in-depth support for customizations, we do try to assist premium users with and at least get them started in the right direction. You can probably use pre_get_posts to filter the search results as needed. You’ll also want to read through our tutorial on custom event queries. I hope that helps get you started!

MemberHi Andrea,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins! Have you read through our article on Venue and Organizer pages? That will hopefully give you a good overview of the default features.
There is not a built in way to specifically search venues or organizers, or add taxonomies like tags and categories. That said, venues and organizers are WP Custom Post Types, so it’s very possible that with some customization or a third-party plugin, you could do the sort of thing you’re looking for.
Best,
Leah
